The Safety Director leads Evergreen Roadworks’ company-wide safety program across offices and construction jobsites. Responsibilities include managing safety staff, developing policies and training, monitoring regulatory compliance, conducting audits and hazard assessments, overseeing incident investigations and corrective actions, maintaining hearing and radiation safety programs, tracking safety metrics, and coordinating OSHA, DOT, EPA, and IDOT reporting. The role requires frequent collaboration with leaders, site managers, employees, claims personnel, and regulatory agencies, along with travel to jobsites in multiple states.

Provide autonomous legal counsel across commercial contracting, construction law, dispute resolution, compliance, environmental, health & safety, labor, real estate, and operational support for construction, mining, and transportation businesses. Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, oversee litigation strategy, implement policies and compliance frameworks, and leverage legal ops software and AI to improve efficiency.

Manage administration, scheduling, documentation, subcontractors, utility coordination, change orders, and closeout for heavy/highway construction projects. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, lead project meetings, communicate with owners, subs and suppliers, and maintain project schedules and records.

Build and lead a centralized indirect procurement function across decentralized operating companies: map spend, develop category strategies, run RFPs/RFQs, negotiate supplier agreements, implement procurement technology, deliver recurring savings and ROI, report performance to the CFO, and drive supplier/program standardization and compliance.

Lead general accounting for Milestone Contractors, overseeing full-cycle close, audits, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting. Set accounting standards, enforce GAAP and internal controls, drive process improvements and automation, partner with operations, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Manage and direct QC lab functions for heavy highway materials, supervise QC technicians, develop and approve mix designs, conduct internal audits and OJT, maintain equipment, ensure INDOT compliance and safety, coordinate with plant, field crews, estimating, and aggregate suppliers.

Support and execute brand strategy across social, email, website, and internal/external communications. Create visual assets with creative teams, ensure brand consistency, collaborate with stakeholders, support sales and talent initiatives, and manage marketing requests and content delivery with occasional travel to job sites and events.

Design, build, and maintain cloud data pipelines and governance on Databricks or Snowflake. Optimize Databricks clusters, implement Delta Lake, automate CI/CD with Azure DevOps, integrate with Azure services, and create monitoring and governance solutions.
