The Safety Director leads Evergreen Roadworks’ company-wide safety program across offices and construction jobsites. Responsibilities include managing safety staff, developing policies and training, monitoring regulatory compliance, conducting audits and hazard assessments, overseeing incident investigations and corrective actions, maintaining hearing and radiation safety programs, tracking safety metrics, and coordinating OSHA, DOT, EPA, and IDOT reporting. The role requires frequent collaboration with leaders, site managers, employees, claims personnel, and regulatory agencies, along with travel to jobsites in multiple states.

Provide autonomous legal counsel across commercial contracting, construction law, dispute resolution, compliance, environmental, health & safety, labor, real estate, and operational support for construction, mining, and transportation businesses. Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, oversee litigation strategy, implement policies and compliance frameworks, and leverage legal ops software and AI to improve efficiency.

Manage administration, scheduling, documentation, subcontractors, utility coordination, change orders, and closeout for heavy/highway construction projects. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, lead project meetings, communicate with owners, subs and suppliers, and maintain project schedules and records.
