Design and produce 3D models and 2D working drawings using SolidWorks, develop BOMs, resolve engineering design issues, support product development, sales technical support and manufacturing, document and update drawings/databases. Lead role includes supervising designers/CAD technicians, delegating work, checking drawings, mentoring staff, and driving process improvements.

Perform non-supervisory engineering for development testing, equipment qualification, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning. Duties include test planning, fixture design, execution, analysis, reporting, vendor test coordination, design support for rotating machinery, stress and vibration analysis, CAD modeling, and mentoring engineers.

Operate and set up CNC and manual lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision components from engineering drawings. Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, troubleshoot and maintain machinery, assist inventory and continuous improvement efforts, and maintain a safe, organized shop meeting OEM tolerances and production deadlines.

Company hires 1-3 paid summer engineering interns and one marketing intern. Recruitment begins in early spring for roles starting in early June. Positions are paid summer internships.

Provide helpdesk support and end-user training for Windows workstations and Microsoft Server environments. Triage and resolve tickets, assist with network and server maintenance, deploy workstations, support Microsoft Office and business applications, maintain documentation, and participate in on-call rotation. Support PLM software and assist with system administration and patching. Engage in continuous improvement and LEAN activities.

Create timely material demand to support customer order fulfillment across value chains. Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to verify BOMs, drawings, and production requirements. Monitor production status, resolve bottlenecks, maintain part method masters in the ERP, release job travelers, and participate in cross-functional value chain meetings to ensure schedule execution and quality.

Perform quality engineering for ASME Section III and VIII products: review/approve inspection and test evidence, generate certification packages, oversee supplier and shop traveler compliance, disposition nonconformances, drive corrective actions, participate in audits/surveys, develop procedures and training, and support QA program continuous improvement.

Lead and maintain the nuclear Quality Program at the Vermont site, ensuring NRC and ASME B&PV Code compliance. Supervise QA/QC inspectors, manage audits, vendor qualifications, inspections (destructive and NDE), and drive continuous improvement to deliver quality products and regulatory conformity.

Lead non-supervisory mechanical design and FEA for new-unit development of industrial rotating machinery. Translate specs to designs, run FEA (stress, frequency, thermal, seismic), produce reports, author contract drawings/documents, support manufacturing, testing, customer/vendor interfaces, and mentor peers while ensuring code compliance and meeting schedules.
