Support special education students in 1:1 and small-group settings, assist with assignments and behavior management, implement adaptations and SDI, aid with personal hygiene and mobility, provide clerical support, attend trainings, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Provide classroom and one-on-one instructional and behavioral support for K–5 special education students. Help adapt materials, implement behavior strategies, assist with personal care and mobility, support transitions, perform clerical tasks, attend trainings, and work under direction of certified special and general education teachers.

Support lead K-5 teachers by assisting instruction, classroom management, and daily activities. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and mentorship with a Master Teacher. May pursue pathway to lead teacher; some locations require specific college credits or ParaPro proficiency.

Partner with school leaders to manage workforce planning, succession, performance management, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and HR initiatives across multiple Louisiana campuses. Conduct investigations, support benefits/payroll questions, implement People programs, ensure legal and grant compliance, collect/report data, and regularly travel to assigned academies.

Support the lead teacher in implementing a Core Knowledge/classical curriculum, serve as an apprentice second teacher under mentorship, assist with classroom instruction and routines, learn pedagogical practices, and potentially advance to lead teacher roles. Employment contingent on background check and fingerprint clearance; occasional local travel for training.

Lead and supervise the academy Special Education (ESS) team, manage caseload distribution, coordinate and conduct IEP and evaluation meetings, ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements, liaise with related service providers, train and mentor ESS staff, and maintain accurate student records in the SIS.
