Teams at Great Hearts Academies

Supports the Head of School in academic, instructional, operational, and administrative leadership. Responsibilities include faculty recruitment and development, curriculum procurement, student assessment planning, enrollment and community engagement, scheduling, student discipline, safety procedures, event planning, and family communication. The Assistant Head of School leads the academy in the Head of School’s absence and helps establish a high-performing school culture.

Supports lead teachers in K-5 classrooms by assisting with instruction, student learning, classroom activities, school events, faculty meetings, and assigned duties. Maintains an orderly learning environment, follows school policies, collaborates with teachers, participates in professional development, and advances the school’s classical education mission. A degree is not required, though some locations may require college credits or a ParaPro assessment.

Lead a K-2 homeroom classroom using Great Hearts curriculum, including Spalding Phonics and Singapore Mathematics. Prepare engaging lessons, support academic and behavioral development, monitor student progress, communicate with families, maintain an orderly and nurturing classroom, collaborate with faculty, participate in academy events, and pursue ongoing professional development.
