Leads day-to-day operations for the School of STEM, including scheduling, faculty assignments, curriculum implementation, hiring, evaluations, professional development, student concerns, budgeting support, accreditation, and resource management. Supervises faculty and staff, supports equity and inclusion initiatives, collaborates across campus, and advises the Dean on academic programs, personnel, and strategic decisions.

Administer and oversee a Department of Labor workforce grant, ensuring compliance, budget control, reporting, audits, staff supervision, and achievement of grant outcomes. The role coordinates community colleges, employers, community partners, faculty, and internal teams; develops operational systems; monitors expenses and payroll; prepares reports; trains staff; and serves as a grant liaison. Travel to partner and employer sites is required.

Provides individualized academic success coaching to Michigan Reconnect students. Develops and monitors completion plans, conducts intake assessments, coordinates support services, facilitates individual and group sessions, and offers guidance on academic policies, enrollment milestones, career pathways, and overcoming barriers. Maintains proactive outreach, helps students build effective study and self-management skills, and collaborates with campus staff and community partners to support persistence and credential completion.

Teach practical and associate degree nursing courses, including pediatric, didactic, clinical, laboratory, and simulation instruction. Assess and advise students, support adjunct faculty, maintain clinical standards and licensure, participate in curriculum development, accreditation, committees, and program improvement. Collaborate with healthcare facilities and community partners while using instructional technology and evidence-based teaching practices. Travel to off-campus clinical sites and meet clinical facility requirements.

GRCC maintains a pool of contingent workers for temporary, non-standard assignments across campus. Roles include short- and long-term projects, grant work, leave coverage, and cyclical needs. Assignments have defined hour and duration limits and benefits vary by weekly hours and assignment length.
