Manufacturing Associates support aluminum rolling and finishing operations by maintaining clean work areas, following production schedules, recording production data, identifying finished coils, operating hoists and hand tools, performing routine maintenance, and reporting equipment or safety issues. The role requires rotating-shift availability, adherence to safety and production procedures, basic computer and measurement skills, and the ability to work in hot, humid, high-noise industrial environments while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Perform cleaning, grounds upkeep, and relief production duties under supervision. Operate forklifts and other machinery, complete logs, store/dispose hazardous waste, assist teammates, report safety/machinery issues, and follow established safety and performance standards.

Lead design and optimization of manufacturing work centers, drive continuous improvement using Lean tools, reduce cycle time and waste, support equipment installations and cross-functional rollout, and develop standardized work procedures and training to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.

Designs and modifies manufacturing equipment, troubleshoots with maintenance, evaluates new equipment, manages projects, produces engineering studies/reports, drives process improvements using SPC/FMEA/control plans, resolves customer issues via 8D/5 Why, and coordinates with vendors and production to ensure safety and quality.

Lead process excellence and quality at an aluminum manufacturing plant. Monitor processes, manage lab equipment, act as customer quality contact, lead root-cause and containment activities, drive continuous improvement projects, maintain QMS and quality documentation, support audits and certifications, supervise hourly production associates, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Manage administration, compliance, communication, and improvement of benefits, retirement, wellness, and leave programs. Partner with vendors, payroll, HR leadership, and legal to ensure regulatory compliance, cost controls, reporting/analytics, annual enrollment, fiduciary oversight, and employee communications. Support vendor management, union negotiations, compensation administration, plan documentation, and benefits-related projects. Use HR technology and AI-enabled tools and travel as needed (15-25%).

Operate and set up roll grinding and lathe equipment to remove material and finish rolls; select wheels/tools, monitor coolant and machine performance, perform measurements, maintain records, perform routine maintenance, load/unload rolls, and follow safety and quality standards.

Perform packaging, weighing, labeling, and transport of aluminum coils; maintain clean work area and scrap separation; operate material-handling equipment; assist training, routine maintenance, and related production duties across assigned shifts.
