The role integrates commercial structuring, technical feasibility, interconnection, financeability, customer engagement, and stakeholder coordination from concept through executable agreements. Responsibilities include negotiating power delivery arrangements, aligning geothermal resources with microgrid and load requirements, assessing risks, preparing leadership materials, and building scalable development processes.

Supports geothermal development projects across partnership coordination, project tracking, contract and transaction analysis, financial modeling, market and regulatory research, diligence, and internal pipeline tooling. The role synthesizes complex information, identifies risks and dependencies, coordinates stakeholders, and helps structure scalable processes for Fervo’s growing clean-energy project portfolio.

Build and consolidate corporate and project pipeline budgets, forecasts, financial models, and KPI reporting. Perform variance, scenario, capital needs, and financial statement analyses to support strategic decisions. Partner with cross-functional development teams, identify financial risks, prepare executive and board materials, and support public company reporting and guidance tracking. Improve reporting through BI and AI tools while communicating financial insights to leadership.

Owns engineering, design, cost, schedule, layout, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup for ORC power-cycle equipment across geothermal projects. Leads process, mechanical, electrical, and structural/civil engineers; manages OEM technical performance, supplier deliverables, design reviews, and plant optimization. The role also hires and mentors engineers, standardizes modular equipment designs, improves thermal performance, and builds scalable engineering processes for repeated deployment.

Own reporting, performance analytics, and cross‑functional coordination for geothermal development. Build Power BI and Excel tools, synthesize schedule and defect data into SQDC dashboards and look‑ahead reports, track milestones and capital costs, support scoping meetings, maintain schedule accuracy and LRM registers, and drive continuous improvement using planning templates and AI tools.

Supports the design, planning, and field execution of geothermal well completions, stimulations, and workovers. Responsibilities include preparing programs and procedures, monitoring operational data, troubleshooting field issues, inspecting equipment, maintaining reports, supporting regulatory compliance, analyzing well performance, selecting completion equipment, estimating costs, and contributing to optimization and continuous improvement. The role includes Houston training, a 14/14 Utah field rotation, and eventual return to Houston operations.

Own the end-to-end settlement cycle for geothermal generation assets, including ISO settlement validation, PPA calculations, invoicing, accruals, revenue recognition, reconciliations, disputes, and SOX controls. Build settlement analyses, dashboards, and automated processes using market and meter data. Partner with Commercial, Operations, Accounting, Legal, counterparties, auditors, and ISOs while explaining variances and supporting close, reporting, and public-company readiness.

Lead permitting, land-use authorization, and environmental compliance for geothermal, power generation, transmission, and related infrastructure projects. Develop regulatory strategies, manage permit applications and schedules, interpret permit conditions, coordinate inspections, maintain compliance records, support field implementation, and liaise with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies. Collaborate with engineering, environmental, legal, construction, and operations teams while monitoring regulatory changes and advising project leadership. Travel approximately 30% throughout the western United States.

The Investor Relations Manager will execute investor communications, quarterly and annual reporting, earnings calls, disclosure processes, investor meetings, roadshows, and analyst engagement. The role will analyze shareholder activity, equity research, consensus estimates, market trends, and valuation implications; support Board reporting and capital strategy; and coordinate cross-functional inputs across Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, Communications, and Project Development. Success requires translating complex financial and technical information into clear investor messaging while maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant public-company communications.

Lead seismic monitoring for enhanced geothermal systems, including network design, instrument calibration, continuous data quality control, event detection, earthquake relocation, velocity modeling, and catalog development. Analyze source parameters, induced seismicity hazards, and DAS data; develop mitigation protocols; and communicate findings to regulators, partners, and communities. The role requires Python-based processing, HypoDD and GrowClust expertise, field deployment, and occasional travel.

Coordinates end-to-end trucking and vendor logistics for drilling and completions materials. Manages carrier relationships, rate negotiations, vendor onboarding, time-critical and multi-stop deliveries, shipment tracking, documentation, and exception resolution. Partners with rig and site teams, improves dispatch and scheduling processes, maintains shipment and purchase-order records, and analyzes lanes, carrier performance, and spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Coordinates freight logistics and pricing across truckload, flatbed, ocean, and air transportation. Runs RFQs and tenders, compares and negotiates carrier rates, applies Incoterms, analyzes landed costs, reconciles invoices, and maintains shipment, pricing, purchase order, and compliance records. Partners with Procurement, Engineering, and Site teams, coordinates customs clearance, tracks non-conformance issues, and prepares status reports.

Analyze historic, geologic, geographic, and operational datasets to improve geothermal site-specific risk assessments and real-time earthquake forecasting. Test and enhance predictive tools, process data, and present project results to executives, department leaders, and fellow interns.

Supports internal communications, social media content creation and scheduling, media monitoring, press summaries, event and leadership communication materials, and website updates. The intern will write, edit, and publish content while collaborating with the Communications team and presenting project results to leadership. Strong communication, initiative, adaptability, and stakeholder presentation skills are required.

Support Fervo Energy’s Finance team through corporate development research, competitive analysis, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, capital markets activities, investor materials, financial modeling, and ad hoc analysis. The intern will own a 12-week project, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and present results to executive leadership and department leads.

Partner with Accounting and AI teams to map manual workflows, identify automation opportunities, build Excel or Python prototypes and GenAI-assisted workflows, document current and future processes, and support pilot testing and rollout of approved solutions. The intern will present project results to executive leadership at the end of the 12-week internship.
