Drives sales growth for Exagen’s autoimmune diagnostic products across a defined Denver territory. Builds and executes territory business plans, exceeds sales targets, educates healthcare providers and staff, reviews diagnostic test results, supports reimbursement guidance, coordinates promotional resources, develops customer relationships, and maintains accurate activity and expense reporting. Receives, verifies, accessions, aliquots, and enters laboratory samples into the Laboratory Information System. Manages freezer storage, performs pre-analytical processing such as centrifugation, red blood cell washing, freezing, aliquoting, and reagent preparation. Maintains laboratory equipment and temperature logs, follows SOPs and safety procedures, and communicates with internal personnel. The role requires a high school diploma, organizational skills, schedule flexibility, and the ability to work Tuesday through Saturday with overtime as needed.

Conduct high-complexity clinical laboratory testing and analysis of patient samples in Flow and Immunochemistry departments. Perform Flow Cytometry, IFA, ELISA, quality control, data review, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, specimen result management, and regulatory compliance. Support quality assurance, audits, assay validation, inventory management, and corrective actions. Provide training and oversight to laboratory personnel while collaborating with immunology, research, and project teams.

Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, workforce planning, variance analysis, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and executive reporting. The role partners with department leaders to analyze business drivers, revenue, gross margin, COGS, and labor costs while improving financial systems and processes. It also provides ad hoc analyses and actionable insights for leadership decision-making.

Builds and maintains analysis-ready clinical and biological datasets from SQL, EDC, laboratory, registry, and biobank sources. Develops reproducible Python and SQL pipelines, applies machine learning to serologic and clinical data, and evaluates LLM-assisted workflows. Partners with biostatistics, data engineering, and clinical affairs on data quality, clinical data management, regulatory deliverables, study operations, dashboards, manuscripts, and clinical research documentation.

Supervises back-end healthcare revenue cycle operations, including denials, appeals, payer follow-up, reimbursement recovery, underpayment analysis, and account resolution. Leads staff performance and workload management, monitors operational metrics, performs root-cause analysis, and implements denial-prevention improvements. Ensures compliance with payer requirements and regulations while collaborating with billing, coding, finance, compliance, laboratory, technology, and other teams. Requires substantial healthcare revenue cycle experience and direct supervisory leadership.

Develops clinically accurate marketing content and sales enablement tools for healthcare professionals, patients, and commercial audiences. Translates clinical evidence and scientific information into compliant messaging, partners with Sales, Clinical Affairs, and Medical Affairs, manages regulatory and legal reviews, supports launches and conferences, and leads projects from concept through measurement. The role also coordinates external writers, designers, agencies, and vendors while maintaining consistent product claims and positioning.
