Lead multiple medium-to-high complexity IT and business projects within a PMO governance framework. Create and maintain detailed project plans, manage budgets, risks, vendors, and cross-team dependencies. Drive executive communications, stakeholder alignment, resource negotiations in a matrixed environment, ensure compliance and documentation, and support organizational readiness and PMO continuous improvement.

Monitors market participant liabilities, credit exposures, collateral postings, payment deadlines, and compliance with ERCOT Protocols. Evaluates prospective participant applications, reviews financial positions, maintains collateral records, enforces credit remedies, responds to market participant inquiries, and supports departmental credit finance activities.

Designs and governs enterprise application architectures across cloud, on-premises, microservices, and API-driven environments. Leads cloud migration, proof-of-concepts, technical roadmaps, governance, and architectural standards while mentoring engineers and promoting responsible AI-assisted development.

Lead and deliver IT or business projects using established governance: develop project plans, manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources and testing. Coordinate technical teams, produce design and test documentation, track metrics, report status, and obtain customer acceptance while mentoring staff and applying migration and project controls.

Supports financial planning and analysis activities, including reviewing spend requests, preparing budget and forecast analyses, reconciling ERP and financial planning data, updating planning systems, and escalating issues. The intern will follow regulatory and organizational policies and complete a project, likely an annual ISO/RTO benchmarking presentation. The role provides exposure to accounting processes, general ledger entries, personnel processes, and business decision-making.

Supports ERCOT’s Enterprise Risk Management team by identifying, documenting, analyzing, and quantifying organizational risks. Assists with risk assessments, key risk indicator development, wildfire and third-party risk analysis, mitigation tracking, and research into industry and regulatory trends affecting grid operations. The intern may also explore artificial intelligence applications in risk management and will gain practical experience supporting risk-informed leadership decisions within a critical infrastructure organization.

Summer 2027 internal audit internship for undergraduate or graduate students. Interns will complete projects addressing challenges in the electric industry, collaborate with ERCOT employees, and develop professional and technical skills in a fast-paced environment. The role requires on-site work in Taylor, Texas at least two days per week.

Full-time Summer 2027 intern supporting ERCOT’s Portfolio Management team. Responsibilities include documenting Power Automate workflows, improving processes, enhancing code in test environments, testing Microsoft Project Server deployment, reverse-engineering Power BI reports, loading project engagements, assessing resource capacity, managing test backups, and supporting special projects. The role is based in Taylor, Texas, with at least two onsite days per week.

Summer 2027 internship supporting ERCOT’s Digital Technology Administration department across data operations, data product management, and grid research innovation. Interns will work on real electric-industry challenges, collaborate with ERCOT teams, and develop technical and professional skills. The role is full-time and requires on-site work in Taylor, Texas at least two days per week, with additional attendance based on business needs.

Summer 2027 IT internship supporting ERCOT’s Digital Technology Administration department. Interns may work in endpoint management, cybersecurity, grid and market applications engineering, systems support, technology development, or test automation. The role provides hands-on project experience in a professional energy technology environment and requires on-site work in Taylor, Texas at least two days per week.

Lead architecture, development, governance, and administration of SharePoint Online, Project Online, Microsoft 365 collaboration, and Power Platform solutions. Design secure, scalable SharePoint and Power Platform implementations, develop SPFx components and Power Apps/Automate solutions, establish governance/SDLC practices, integrate with Microsoft Graph/Azure services, automate administration with PowerShell, and support compliance, migration, and adoption in a regulated energy environment.

The Release Analyst coordinates release planning and execution, manages CI/CD pipelines, enforces security compliance, and drives performance metrics for infrastructure and application releases.

Leads ERCOT’s enterprise Data Products and AI Strategy organization, overseeing data product management, analytics and business intelligence, and AI/ML operations. Develops multi-year roadmaps, governs data and AI portfolios, ensures responsible AI, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance, and drives production deployment of AI-powered applications. Manages Release Engineering Services across CI/CD, DevOps, release planning, governance, and scope management. Leads Release Engineers and Release Train Engineers, oversees deployments, enforces NERC CIP-aligned DevSecOps controls, governs ServiceNow change processes, and owns DORA and IT change metrics. Establishes release scope baselines, controls changes, ensures requirements traceability, manages production readiness gates, and serves as the escalation authority for deployment, pipeline, scope, and emergency change decisions.

Lead design, architecture, development, governance, and administration of SharePoint Online, Project Online, Microsoft 365 collaboration, and Power Platform solutions. Drive release/change management, production support, vendor escalations, and mentor junior analysts while partnering with HR/Finance stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain ERP solutions.

The GMS Application Engineer supports the Markets Management Systems, involved in design, development, testing, and operational support for market applications.

The Principal Commercial Operations role leads ERCOT's wholesale market design, advanced analysis, regulatory engagements, and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring market efficiency and reliability.

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you'll analyze and design power system stability, run simulations, mentor junior staff, and make independent technical decisions. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders and ensure accurate reporting.

The Grid Analysis engineer conducts power-flow simulations, evaluates infrastructure reliability, and implements improvements for the electric grid, mentoring junior staff.
