The Placement Specialist assists job seekers in preparing for and advancing in careers, focusing on high-demand industries, and delivers workforce solutions at various centers.

Provide administrative support to executive leadership, manage special projects, conduct statewide orientations and CASAS testing, deliver literacy and Microsoft Office trainings, maintain outreach materials, complete Quickbase data entry, and collaborate on long-term program development to meet performance metrics.

Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings and training opportunities, assist employers with recruiting and hiring, maintain job listings and labor market knowledge, coordinate job fairs and employer events, and collaborate with case management staff to facilitate placements and follow-up for quality improvement.

Provide career counseling and case management to program participants: advise on job search strategies, track participation, facilitate job-readiness workshops, identify training needs, document case notes, maintain records, develop career advisement policies, and liaise with community resources to support employment outcomes.

The Career Transition Specialist assesses job readiness of graduates, provides support and referrals, builds employer relations, conducts workshops, and monitors placement outcomes to ensure successful job placements and retention.
