The Senior Tax Associate prepares and supports federal, state, local, and Canadian tax filings; handles sales, use, property, mining, and severance tax compliance; assists with ASC 740 tax accounting, audits, transfer pricing, tax research, planning, acquisitions, and restructuring. The role also prepares reconciliations, supports financial reporting, monitors tax developments, and coordinates with internal teams, auditors, advisors, and taxing authorities.

Leads corporate budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial reporting, and performance analysis. Manages financial planning systems, develops KPIs and dashboards, analyzes costs and operational results, supports capital project tracking, and builds financial models for strategic decisions. Partners with business leaders on spending, headcount, capital allocation, scenario analysis, and process improvements across the global organization.

Provides high-level administrative support to executives while independently managing corporate office operations, facilities, vendors, budgets, events, travel, and administrative projects. Oversees workplace services, negotiates vendor arrangements, coordinates meetings and visitors, leads office relocations and process improvements, and exercises discretion in handling confidential matters and operational decisions.

Supports underground and surface mining operations through geological sampling, mapping, surveying, mine planning, production tracking, ventilation, ground control, data analysis, and technical reporting. The intern collaborates with geologists, engineers, miners, maintenance, and safety personnel while following site safety and regulatory requirements. Work may include CAD or 3D mine design, database updates, operational measurements, and completion of an intern project in a remote field environment.

Leads the global internal audit function, developing risk-based audit plans and overseeing SOX compliance, internal controls, financial and operational audits, cybersecurity and IT controls, investigations, remediation, and data-enabled audit practices. Presents findings and emerging risks to executive leadership and the Audit Committee, manages global audit resources and service providers, coordinates with external auditors, and builds a geographically dispersed internal audit team across domestic and international operations.

Researches and implements U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting policies; prepares technical accounting memoranda; analyzes business combinations, revenue, leases, debt, and other complex transactions; monitors FASB and SEC changes; supports filings, SOX controls, and acquisitions; maintains accounting policies; and partners with auditors, finance leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
