Provides energy consulting services through quantitative modeling, independent research, client presentations, report writing, QA/QC, and development of analytical tools. Consultants lead project workstreams, translate technical findings for broad audiences, support proposals, manage project obligations, and advise customers on energy planning, policy, transmission, pricing, markets, distribution, renewable energy, and climate issues.

Conduct energy market and policy research, support forecasting and valuation models, analyze market strategies and stakeholder needs, and prepare client-ready presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and visualizations. The Analyst assists project leaders, researches regulatory and industry topics, translates findings for stakeholders, tracks work plans, and contributes to internal knowledge-management initiatives.

Selected interns work full time with energy and environmental consulting experts on electricity-industry topics, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, rate design, transmission, and climate policy. They contribute to active consulting projects and develop research deliverables. The internship requires an 8–12 week commitment, regular business-hour availability, and at least three office days weekly in San Francisco, New York, Boston, or Calgary.

Conduct energy and climate policy research, quantitative analysis, forecasting, market modeling, and valuation support for utility, regulatory, investor, and developer clients. Prepare presentations, reports, papers, spreadsheets, and visualizations; research regulatory proceedings and energy markets; modify analytical tools; track project work; and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Collaborate with senior consultants and contribute to internal initiatives and knowledge management.

The PLEXOS Modeling Consultant develops and evaluates models using PLEXOS software, collaborates with teams on modeling strategies, translates data into visual formats, and communicates findings to clients, promoting solutions to energy-related issues.
