The intern will apply control theory, modeling, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink while working closely with an engineering team on autonomous defense systems.

Own the mechanical and hardware architecture of counter-UAS interceptor systems, from airframe layout and subsystem integration through component design, structural analysis, CAD, testing, and validation. The engineer will assess loads, vibration, shock, thermal environments, materials, interfaces, and operational constraints while collaborating with propulsion, avionics, and guidance teams. The role also supports prototype builds, test campaigns, failure analysis, and design iteration as the mechanical design authority.
