Layout, fabricate, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components for new vessel construction using blueprints and precision measuring tools. Operate cutting and fabrication equipment, perform fit-up and inspection, maintain safety and quality standards, mentor apprentices, and participate in continuous improvement while meeting production schedules.

Lead design, delivery, and evaluation of training and leadership development programs; manage training compliance and records; perform needs assessments; partner with HR, operations, and subject-matter experts; supervise training staff and coordinate external providers; use learning technology and Microsoft Office to track effectiveness and drive employee development.

Supervise and coordinate installation and inspection of propulsion machinery and related marine equipment. Lead planning and scheduling for shipbuilding projects: develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedule, create resource-loaded work packages, perform critical path analysis, manage change control (BCR/ECN/ECP), support EVMS reporting and IBRs, mentor/train planners and CAMs, optimize staffing models, coordinate cross-craft dependencies, and ensure ISO and planning/process compliance.

Provide administrative and analytical support to the Program Management Office: create schedules and tracking matrices, monitor contract deliverables and compliance, produce metrics and reports, prepare presentations, maintain processes and documentation, review deliverables for government submission, cross-train peers, and identify process improvements.

Perform full-spectrum HR duties including recruitment/onboarding, benefits and leave administration (FMLA), HRIS recordkeeping and reporting, employee relations and investigations, training and orientation, E-Verify/AAP/VETS/EEO reporting, unemployment processing, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Install, repair, maintain and service electrical equipment and fittings on ships. Perform mechanical fitting, rigging, welding, and assembly of motor starters, switchgear, transformers, control panels, meters, and protection devices. Maintain records, follow OSHA/ABS safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures, work with minimal supervision in a heavy industrial shipyard environment, and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and work at heights.

Support internal and external communications by writing press releases and internal newsletters, managing social media, coordinating events and digital content, capturing photos/videos, maintaining editorial calendars, responding to media inquiries, and ensuring brand consistency across channels.
