Design and develop custom electronics for automated canine olfaction systems, including PCBs, analog and digital circuits, power systems, motion control, sensor interfaces, and embedded hardware. Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, board bring-up, testing, debugging, hardware-software integration, and prototype-to-production development using laboratory equipment and embedded communication protocols.

Lead the hardware team and own end-to-end development of automated breath-sample presentation platforms. Design, prototype, scale, and deploy reliable robotic and industrial-grade systems involving mechanical, electronic, and firmware components. Drive reliability engineering, manufacturing, vendor development, and field deployment while improving throughput from hundreds to thousands of daily samples.

Tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems; build, test, ship, and iterate across different areas; introduce unconventional perspectives; define and expand the role’s scope; and communicate clearly while learning quickly.
