The role also manages customer insights, sales enablement, supplier cost analysis, launch tracking, and collaboration with global headquarters.

Develops technical quotations and engineered solutions for CNC machine tools and automation systems. Evaluates customer manufacturing requirements, coordinates with sales, engineering, product management, and suppliers, and provides technical sales support. Creates machine layouts using CAD software, manages pricing and margins, maintains quotation tools and documentation, interprets RFQs and engineering drawings, and supports dealers through presentations, recommendations, and sales order reviews.

Leads applications engineering for large machine tools, including double-column machines, boring mills, and large VMCs and HMCs. Oversees machine setup, installation, prove-outs, machining process optimization, demonstrations, customer support, machine configuration, troubleshooting, and technical project coordination. Mentors applications engineers and trains customers and internal teams. Requires extensive travel, up to 90%, for installations, demonstrations, and project support.

Develop and prove out CNC machining processes for SMX and DNX mill-turn machines. Responsibilities include CNC programming, machine setup, tooling and workholding selection, process validation, troubleshooting, customer test cuts, turnkey project support, training, technical sales support, documentation, and travel to customer and distributor sites.

Manages engineering projects and operations by maintaining Smartsheet schedules, tracking tasks, budgets, risks, and dependencies, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors, and driving follow-through. Prepares executive reports, meeting materials, status updates, and polished PowerPoint presentations from technical information. Supports leadership visibility into project progress, decisions, resources, and recovery actions while maintaining accurate documentation and project records.

Develops and validates CNC manufacturing processes, including programming, machine setup, tooling, fixturing, prove-outs, cutting demonstrations, and process optimization. Supports pre-sale evaluations, customer implementations, technical training, product demonstrations, time studies, and customer support. Documents applications and improvements while mentoring internal teams, distributors, and customers across multi-task turning and 5-axis machining applications.

Manage sales activities across the Southcentral region for machine tool products. Develop customer and distributor relationships, support sales representatives, identify market opportunities, monitor competition, provide product training, assist with demonstrations and trade shows, resolve technical and service issues, and recommend strategies to increase sales and market share.

Leads daily operations for the Applications Engineering Department, coordinating technical priorities, customer demonstrations, turnkey projects, validations, training, events, and showroom readiness. Manages, mentors, and develops engineers while maintaining engineering standards, technical excellence, and execution continuity. Requires extensive hands-on CNC machining, programming, tooling, workholding, fixture design, multi-axis and mill-turn expertise, plus experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls and CAM systems. The role also supports customers, sales, strategic partners, recruiting, and global engineering initiatives.

Develops and supports automation solutions integrating CNC machine tools, robotics, and software. Responsibilities include creating training materials, training dealers and customers, providing technical support, troubleshooting mechanical and automation issues at customer sites, liaising with manufacturing, maintaining support documentation, and reporting technical metrics. Requires extensive machine-tool experience, FANUC controls, milling and turning programming, CAD/CAM, CNC operation, macro programming, and PLC fundamentals.

Administer Salesforce Service CRM operations, including service cases, orders, appointments, scheduling, data quality, reporting, and user support. Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate enhancements with IT, develop procedures and training materials, and support dealers, service engineers, and internal teams. The role also assists with warranty administration, invoicing, purchasing, reporting, and related customer service processes using Salesforce, SAP, and other service systems.
