Develops and maintains PLC, robot, HMI, servo, and integrated machine control systems for packaging lines. Designs hardware and software, troubleshoots customer issues, supports factory testing and service teams, manages product-line code standards, supervises subcontractors, and documents controls solutions. The role also evaluates design costs, improves machinery performance and safety, and travels to customer sites approximately 15% of the time.

Designs and develops custom packaging machinery, including machine concepts, layouts, mechanical assemblies, components, drawings, BOMs, prototypes, and validation systems. Leads technical project execution from order entry through field testing, coordinates manufacturing and customer activities, resolves technical issues, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Mentors engineers, manages schedules and risks, supports machine orders, and improves development processes. Requires substantial mechanical design experience with SolidWorks or similar tools, machine controls, servo-driven equipment, FEA, and motion analysis.

Designs and processes custom machine systems, components, assemblies, drawings, and bills of materials using CAD tools. Leads strategic design projects, performs engineering analysis and prototype testing, supports manufacturing and field service, processes engineering changes, and resolves mechanical issues. Collaborates with vendors and internal teams, participates in design and cost reviews, mentors others, and helps manage schedules, estimates, and project deliverables. Travel to customer sites may comprise 10–20% of the role.

Configures and quotes industrial packaging solutions by preparing costing reports, system layout drawings, and customer proposals. Presents projects to management, customers, and sales teams; advises on product positioning; analyzes project financial impacts; and collaborates with engineering, operations, procurement, scheduling, accounting, and sales. The role requires expertise in Delkor product lines, engineering drawings, technical software, business math, and customer relationship building.

Improve and scale manufacturing processes, assembly, testing, tooling, and materials in a high-production environment. Establish lean and 5S practices, production standards, maintenance requirements, quality methods, and process documentation. Support equipment vendors, supervise assembly technicians, create training videos, analyze production trends, and ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance while maintaining a safe, efficient production floor.

Designs electrical systems, panels, schematics, and documentation for customer machines. Selects components, collaborates with controls programmers, supports assembly and service teams with debugging and troubleshooting, and assists with machine safety, standards, manuals, and new product development. Requires an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience, AutoCAD, and knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and UL 508A.

Develops, modifies, and maintains automation programs for machines, robotics, integrations, and complete systems. Supports factory testing, documents controls standards, troubleshoots customer field issues, and assists service teams remotely and onsite. The role improves machine speed, capacity, reliability, functionality, and usability while collaborating with engineering, checkout, service, and production teams. Approximately 10% travel to customer sites is required.
