Reads technical prints, programs using CAM, conversational controls, or G-code, troubleshoots machining issues, recommends tooling improvements, performs routine maintenance, and maintains quality and production standards. The role also supports material handling, inventory, machine assembly, process improvement, and training other machinists in a machine shop environment.

Designs and develops new packaging machinery, including concepts, layouts, assemblies, components, drawings, BOMs, and prototypes. Leads technical development projects from order entry through field testing, coordinating schedules, validation, customers, manufacturing, and sales. Designs custom machine components, resolves technical and safety issues, performs design reviews, and ensures compliance with applicable standards. Mentors engineers, improves development processes, and serves as a machinery automation subject matter expert.

Develops CAM programs and machines precision parts using CNC mills, mill-turn lathes, and related equipment. Determines efficient machining methods, selects tooling and materials, optimizes tool life and runtimes, maintains setup sheets, troubleshoots machining issues, and supports production priorities. Collaborates with machinists, engineering, scheduling, and management on improvements, fixtures, design changes, quality, maintenance, and cost reduction. The role also supports training, machine setup, shipping, and assembly activities.

Designs electrical systems, panels, schematics, and documentation for customer machinery. Selects components, develops functional specifications, collaborates with controls programmers, and supports assembly and service teams with troubleshooting and electrical debugging. Ensures compliance with NEC, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards, documents machine construction requirements, contributes to manuals and new product development, and provides on-site or remote customer support. The role is primarily on-site, with approximately 10% travel.

Designs and processes custom machine systems, assemblies, components, drawings, CAD models, and BOMs for customer orders. Performs engineering calculations, FEA, motion analysis, prototyping, testing, machine layout, change orders, cost estimation, and design reviews. Leads strategic design projects, mentors team members, supports manufacturing and field service, resolves machine problems, and travels to customer sites approximately 10–20% of the time.

Develops and leads automation controls for new machinery and integrated packaging lines. Responsibilities include specifying controls hardware, programming PLC, HMI, servo and robotics systems, conducting design reviews, ensuring machinery safety, managing technical projects, supporting assembly and field testing, interfacing with customers, maintaining product-line code, and mentoring engineers. The role requires extensive experience with high-speed servo machinery, RSLogix5000, Rockwell Automation systems, and controls engineering leadership.

Operate assigned NC manual mill and lathe machines independently to produce quality parts for machine assembly. Responsibilities include planning daily work, meeting time standards, interpreting prints, troubleshooting machining issues, suggesting tooling and process improvements, maintaining equipment and work areas, managing material handling, and supporting or training other machinists. The role requires production-floor work, attention to detail, basic math and metric conversion, programming knowledge, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Develops and maintains programs for automated machines, robotics, third-party integrations, and complete systems. Supports factory testing, documents controls standards, troubleshoots customer field issues, and improves machine speed, capacity, reliability, functionality, and usability. Provides remote and on-site service support, collaborates across departments, and may tutor or lead others on engineering designs and projects. The role is primarily office-based, with assembly-floor and customer-site work and approximately 10% travel.

Design and develop new machinery and prototype equipment; create CAD assemblies, detail drawings, BOMs, and cost estimates; lead engineering teams and manage projects from order entry through field testing; perform FEA and motion analysis; interface with customers and sales, mentor colleagues, and ensure compliance with safety and release procedures.
