In this position...
You'll own and lead the telemetry and battery health software for Ford Energy's battery energy storage products. The products that capture what every asset is doing in the field and use AI to diagnose and forecast asset health, so customers can monitor and manage their assets and Ford Energy can service them faster and at lower cost.
What you'll do...
The Ford Energy Digital Product team is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead our telemetry and battery health software. In this role, you'll define the roadmap for the products that capture what Ford Energy battery energy storage assets are doing in the field and turn that data into a clear picture of asset health.
  • These products let customers monitor and manage their assets, speed up Ford Energy's service response, lower the cost to serve, and improve the customer experience. You'll lead the deployment of AI into these products where it can find faults before they become outages, and you'll be responsible for making those systems reliable at fleet scale.
  • Own discovery and business-case development for telemetry and asset health products, grounding the roadmap in research with customers and Ford Energy service and engineering teams, and in the uptime, warranty and cost-to-serve outcomes those products drive.
  • Define how asset data reaches Ford Energy and its customers, working through integrations with partner systems and Ford Energy's own hardware, and partnering with Cybersecurity, Legal and customers on data access, security and approvals.
  • Identify where AI can meaningfully improve asset health outcomes - fault detection, health estimation, anomaly detection and degradation forecasting - and lead responsible pilot-to-production deployment, including evaluation criteria, guardrails, human-in-the-loop design, and measurement of customer and business impact.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of telemetry and service data to identify recurring failure modes, avoidable site visits, and opportunities to shorten time to diagnosis and resolution.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery by translating product vision into clear product definitions and technical requirements, partnering closely with Project Operations & Performance, software engineering, data science, UX design and analytics teams from concept through launch and ongoing iteration.
  • Implement AI-powered feedback loops into the product management process to monitor customer feedback, identify user friction, and identify and prioritize improvements.
  • Synthesize customer insights and feedback, technical constraints and financial projections into high-impact recommendations for executive leadership, providing the strategic clarity and data-backed rationale required to secure buy-in and investment.
  • Define and track input and output metrics to demonstrate business and customer impact for telemetry and health products. Implement structured monitoring of customer and service users to continuously improve adoption, usability, and outcomes.

You'll have...
  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive growth and experience leading Product Management in large scale environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading digital product development or AI enable products from planning through launch and improvements.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering AI-enabled features, or a strong working understanding of how modern AI systems are built and managed.
  • 3+ years of experience building systems where AI operates autonomously and can demonstrate how they made those systems reliable
  • Experience shipping AI- or ML-enabled product features, or a strong working understanding of how LLM-based and agentic systems are built, evaluated, and governed in production
  • Experience with software that handles substantial amounts of data or connects to equipment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer-focused skills.

Even better, you may have...
  • Domain knowledge in battery energy storage, battery management systems, EV batteries, or connected industrial assets - particularly diagnostics, health monitoring, or predictive maintenance
  • Familiarity with industrial data, telemetry or IoT platforms, time-series data, or security requirements for utility and critical-infrastructure systems
  • Prior experience deploying agentic AI, copilots, or automation into operational or customer-facing workflows, including defining guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and human oversight
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; Master of Business Administration
