The Rising 2L Legal Internship at CSAA Insurance Group offers law students a chance to engage in corporate and litigation practices within the insurance industry, focusing on legal research, document drafting, and legislative updates.

Lead and develop actuarial analysts and consultants to perform commercial pricing and actuarial analyses, manage projects and team workload, support business decision-making, build client relationships, and communicate analytical insights to internal and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Commercial Insurance Analyst, you'll perform complex analyses on data to drive business performance and risk outcomes. You'll collaborate with various teams, generate actionable insights, and mentor junior analysts, all while fostering a data-driven culture and improving operational efficiency.

Lead operational excellence for enterprise AI/ML platforms: ensure reliability, scalability, observability, governance, and deployment readiness. Build automation, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and model lifecycle processes. Serve as senior escalation for incidents, drive root cause analysis, mentor engineers, and partner across Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams to enable production AI workloads and generative AI adoption.

Lead moderately complex legal and litigation operations projects, apply project and change management to implement processes and vendor solutions, identify and remediate operational gaps, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, prepare reports and presentations, manage recurring legal operations activities, and support compliance and adoption across geographically dispersed teams.

Design, build, validate, and maintain actuarial pricing and loss-cost models (GLM and related methods); support rate/statistical filings, product performance monitoring, competitive analysis, and new product development; lead projects, review peer work, and train junior analysts while providing business insights to pricing and product teams.

Operate and mature the CTI program by ingesting and analyzing intelligence from TIPs and OSINT, managing IOCs, integrating intelligence into SIEM/SOAR/EDR, supporting investigations and threat hunting, analyzing vulnerability/exploit trends, producing reports and briefings, and improving intelligence workflows to drive detection, blocking, and mitigation.

Handle a full inventory of complex litigated files in insurance defense, including discovery, arbitration, mediation and first-chair trials. Advise and mentor junior attorneys, prepare pleadings and motions, coordinate with claims specialists, and appear on behalf of the company. Work remotely (must be California-bar licensed), travel as needed for hearings/trials, and manage high-value cases with independent judgment.

The Commercial Insurance Analytics Consultant leads analytical initiatives for commercial insurance, evaluates trends and risks, and makes recommendations to senior leadership while mentoring less experienced analysts.
