The role involves driving membership growth for the CWS Council through consultative sales approaches, managing the sales cycle, and building relationships with enterprise organizations in the contingent workforce ecosystem.

Support marketing activities for Crain Communications across channels; assist with events, client interactions, and content coordination. Work location may be in-office, hybrid, or remote (subject to state eligibility). Role may require travel to events, irregular hours, and routine computer-based tasks including document preparation and reporting.

Plan and execute integrated B2B marketing campaigns across events, awards, subscriptions and partnerships. Develop strategy, messaging and creative briefs; manage campaigns across email, web, social, digital advertising and print; collaborate cross-functionally; analyze performance and optimize using marketing technology and analytics; improve processes through automation and AI-assisted tools.

Cover U.S. shale and upstream M&A with breaking news, exclusive reporting, data-driven analysis, and source cultivation. Track operators, transactions, production and financial metrics; analyze SEC filings and earnings; publish digital stories, newsletters and multimedia; collaborate across editorial, events, and audience teams; represent the outlet at industry events.

Build and expand proprietary institutional mandate databases and survey datasets, design AI-assisted workflows to monitor unstructured sources, produce data products and analytical briefs, collaborate with editorial and technology teams, and surface trend signals and story leads for institutional investors and asset managers.

Lead and grow advertising and sponsorship revenue through strategic sales, client relationship management, team leadership, and cross-product collaboration. Represent the brand at events, travel to meet clients and offices, and work flexible hours to support business needs.

Lead legal and regulatory research on contingent labour and workforce solutions for SIA clients. Monitor legislation globally, produce regional legal updates and ad hoc reports, maintain compliance databases, respond to client queries, present at conferences/webinars, support training and product development, and build a network of legal experts serving the staffing industry.

The Digital Editor will refine stories, optimize content, collaborate with reporters, manage editorial schedules, and ensure adherence to style guidelines while leveraging data insights for improvements.
