Danny Miller’s role as a software engineering manager doesn’t just revolve around reinforcing solid coding standards. “The single most important role I can fill is to look out for the folks on my teams, help create opportunities for their continued success and be a reliable mentor,” he said. Amy Lin and her peers are tasked with leading the organization’s efforts to deliver human-centered design, maintain a customer-centric focus and ultimately develop amazing products and experiences. To help team members excel in this respect, the company offers consistent training, hands-on experience and formal programs, including the internal rotation program Cox Gigs. In terms of driving day-to-day innovation, Lin said her team relies on Mural, a tool she considers “collaborative, visual and iterative,” which has proven to be highly effective in a hybrid setting.

According to Danny Miller, every day offers another chance to learn something new. Sriya Gorugantu spends her days supporting the organization’s marketing analytics initiatives, leveraging a tech stack that includes AWS Athena, Snowflake and Thoughtspot. Currently, she and her peers are focused on Cox Mobile. Since starting work on this project, Gorugantu has strengthened her understanding of machine-learning models and AI. She said those who join her team in the future can expect to utilize cutting-edge technology, develop advanced analytical models, leverage foundational data science methodologies and more.
