Senior C&I Engineer responsible for instrumentation, control, and functional safety solutions for the Glenbrook Battery project. Duties include control system design, HAZOPs, SIL verification, technical document review, contractor and vendor coordination, FAT, SAT, commissioning, plant start-up, and handover to Operations. The role will continue across Contact Energy’s major renewable infrastructure project pipeline.

Lead the vision, roadmap, and priorities for products supporting energy trading decisions. Translate business and information needs into product direction, partner with data, modelling, engineering, and market specialists, align stakeholders, and make value-focused trade-offs. Success involves creating trusted, adopted products that improve decision-making across Trading, Finance, Risk, Generation, and Technology.

Deliver electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for geothermal and renewable energy projects from concept and design through construction, commissioning, and handover. Manage technical stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and operations teams while supporting high-voltage infrastructure, protection systems, control architectures, commissioning, and issue resolution. Ensure projects meet safety, quality, reliability, and operational requirements.

Deliver major geothermal energy projects across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Oversee engineering work packages, coordinate consultants and contractors, manage technical risks, support site delivery, and resolve complex engineering issues. The role covers civil, structural, and mechanical infrastructure, including steamfield pipelines and power station construction, while balancing safety, quality, budget, and schedule outcomes.

Lead mechanical engineering support for Contact Energy’s geothermal generation fleet. Provide technical advice across operations, outages, improvement projects, and asset investments; ensure safe, reliable lifecycle performance; and guide asset integrity and risk management. Serve as a mechanical discipline leader and subject matter expert, mentoring engineers, improving standards and processes, solving complex technical problems, and supporting strategic decision-making across the generation business.

Lead a portfolio of hydro generation projects from planning and investment approval through delivery. Coordinate engineers, contractors, operations teams, and stakeholders while managing schedules, budgets, risks, safety, regulatory requirements, outages, and commercial considerations.
