Diagnose production issues, demonstrate machining best practices, and collaborate with marketing on trend-driven content.

Research, design, and develop algorithms and software systems for AI-driven CNC machining, including toolpath optimization, cutting strategies, and automated CAM workflows. Collaborate with manufacturing experts, data scientists, and software engineers to convert advanced concepts into reliable production software. The role emphasizes high-performance C++ development, computational geometry, numerical methods, optimization, and modern software engineering practices.

Develop software for CloudNC’s AI-powered CAM Assist product, collaborating with computer science and manufacturing experts to solve complex machining and toolpath-generation challenges. The role requires C++ development and experience with UI frameworks such as TypeScript, Angular, or React. Employees will receive training in factory operations and software capabilities; manufacturing experience is not required.

Assess parts for CAM Assist suitability, prepare workholding and machining strategies, generate and modify CNC toolpaths, troubleshoot demonstrations, support customers, and provide product feedback. The role also develops tutorials, advises on tooling and fixtures, improves CAM workflows, onboards specialist clients, and mentors sales team members.

Generates and qualifies leads for CloudNC’s CAM Assist product through research, cold calling, personalized email, and social outreach. The role schedules qualified product demonstrations, maintains accurate CRM records, meets activity and pipeline targets, and stays informed about manufacturing trends, competitors, and product updates. Success requires strong rapport-building, curiosity, sales persistence, attention to detail, and familiarity with technology sales or business development.

Assess and prepare customer parts for CAM Assist demonstrations, applying workholding strategies and generating optimized CNC toolpaths. Troubleshoot technical issues, analyze product limitations, provide feedback to Product Management, support client onboarding, advise on tooling and machining strategies, and train sales team members. The role requires strong 3D drawing and CAM programming experience, especially 5+ years with SolidCAM, plus excellent accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
