Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in the growth of CloudNC’s customer base by generating qualified leads and driving the early stages of the sales pipeline. The BDR is responsible for identifying potential customers, engaging them through targeted outreach, and qualifying their needs to set up high-quality product demonstrations for the sales team.

This role requires a driven, curious, and tenacious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to meet or exceed activity-based sales targets. The BDR will act as a bridge between the marketing and sales teams, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities into the pipeline.

Essential experience:
  • Up to 2 years of experience in technology sales or a similar business development role.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding activity-based sales quotas.
  • Strong rapport-building skills and ability to establish trust with prospects.
  • Curious mindset with a drive to uncover customer needs beyond surface-level questions.
  • Exposure to precision machining or manufacturing technology is highly advantageous.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in using G-Suite and CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot).
  • Proven ability to work at speed without compromising on accuracy or attention to detail.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and related industry tools.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 trends.
  • Spanish language fluency 

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation
    • Research and identify potential customers using various tools, platforms, and databases.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of target industries, personas, and customer pain points.
  2. Outbound Prospecting
    • Execute targeted outreach through cold calls, personalized emails, and social media channels to introduce CloudNC’s CAM Assist product.
    • Craft tailored messaging to engage prospects and generate interest.
  3. Qualify Leads
    • Engage in meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their challenges, goals, and potential fit for CloudNC’s solutions.
    • Apply qualification frameworks to assess lead viability.
  4. Set Appointments
    • Schedule high-quality meetings or product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified prospects.
    • Ensure seamless handover of information and context to the sales team.
  5. CRM Management
    • Accurately log all lead interactions, notes, and follow-up tasks in the CRM system (e.g. HubSpot).
    • Maintain clean, up-to-date data to enable reporting and forecasting.
  6. Performance and Target Management
    • Consistently meet or exceed weekly activity and pipeline targets.
    • Regularly review performance metrics and adjust outreach strategies as needed.
  7. Continuous Learning
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and product updates.
    • Incorporate learnings into outreach efforts to improve messaging and effectiveness.
