Leads human resources operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee support, training, discipline, HRIS transactions and audits, classification and compensation, process improvement, and policy guidance. Provides career-long HR support, coordinates shared-services work, trains HR personnel, supports payroll and benefits inquiries, and advises on labor relations and employment policies. The role also guides staff, optimizes workflows, and collaborates with departments to ensure effective employee lifecycle management.

Provide criminal defense to indigent clients in City Court, handling pretrial functions, client interviews, evidence review, legal research, drafting documents, plea negotiations, hearings and trials. Prepare exhibits, conduct investigations, lead/paralegal staff on representation tasks, and cover court for other attorneys under a supervising public defender.

Presides over and adjudicates civil traffic, criminal, misdemeanor, domestic violence, injunctive order, and municipal code cases. Issues warrants, summonses, subpoenas, probation orders, and sentencing documents; conducts legal research; reviews legislation affecting court operations; interprets statutes and case law; and maintains courtroom order. This appointed, part-time role requires Arizona Bar membership, substantial legal and trial experience, and on-site courtroom service.

Supports transportation project communications and public outreach by coordinating events, media inquiries, stakeholder engagement, and informational materials. Drafts and designs news releases, newsletters, surveys, social media content, websites, and signage. Schedules posts, films and edits educational videos, coordinates vendors and consultants, attends project and event meetings, and communicates transportation impacts to communities and Ward offices.

Prosecutes misdemeanor cases for the Tucson City Prosecutor’s Office. Reviews police reports and evidence, researches case law, drafts motions and legal memoranda, negotiates pleas, and represents the State in hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and appeals. The role also conducts oral arguments, examines witnesses, makes objections, and assists with training new prosecutors. Work is performed onsite under the supervision of a Principal Assistant Prosecuting City Attorney.

Lead EPHD for a 12–18 month transition, establishing and implementing durable governance, financial, compliance, and operating systems. The Executive Director will coordinate with the City, HCD, Board, shared services, and stakeholders; oversee affordable housing and LIHTC-related operations; develop policies, SOPs, dashboards, training, controls, and decision materials; and transfer a functioning framework to designated owners.
