Provides confidential administrative support to the Planning Division Director and Chief Planner. Coordinates planning reports, committee submissions, meetings, correspondence, travel, records, supplies, accounts, and office procedures. Proofreads reports, tracks deadlines, responds to inquiries, liaises with officials and agencies, supports staff, mentors junior employees, and assists with hiring and financial administration.

Performs tax registration and tax sale administration for municipal properties in arrears. Conducts title, corporate, execution, and writ searches; prepares and registers legal documents; negotiates payment plans and extension agreements; monitors tax accounts; issues statutory notices; researches property information; and responds to taxpayers, legal firms, financial institutions, and municipal staff. Ensures processes comply with the Municipal Act and coordinates with legal, assessment, and property-tax organizations.

Provides strategic and operational leadership for Hamilton’s Vacant Unit Tax and general revenue programs. Oversees billing, collections, reconciliations, financial controls, compliance, customer service, appeals, budgeting, reporting, audits, and service modernization. Leads staff and cross-functional initiatives, advises senior management and Council, manages risks, ensures legislative compliance, and improves revenue administration through technology, automation, analytics, and process improvement.

Manages cybersecurity across SCADA and operational technology systems supporting municipal water and wastewater facilities. Develops security policies, risk analyses, compliance processes, incident procedures, and technical controls. Oversees firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, patching, network assessments, and security architecture reviews. Leads security activities within SCADA/OT projects, evaluates products, supports regulatory compliance, and provides training and technical guidance to operations, IT security teams, contractors, and consultants.

Conducts traffic studies, analyzes collision and roadway safety data, investigates public concerns, and recommends solutions involving traffic controls, signs, pavement markings, and traffic calming. Prepares technical reports, correspondence, work orders, and site documentation; provides input on capital road projects; coordinates student assignments; supports red-light camera programs; and maintains roadway safety inventories. Requires traffic engineering knowledge, applicable Ontario legislation and manuals, strong communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a valid Class G driver’s licence.

Executes public-sector procurement processes for goods and services, including tenders, quotations, contract renewals, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and awards. Ensures compliance with procurement bylaws, legislation, policies, and ethical standards. Advises departments and vendors, researches markets, analyzes bids, supports contract administration, resolves purchasing issues, prepares procurement documentation, and communicates procedures to internal and external stakeholders.

Leads the City’s Provincial Offences Administration Office, overseeing court administration, courtroom operations, fine collections, customer service, legislative compliance, budgeting, financial controls, workforce management, and continuous improvement. The role exercises delegated court-manager authorities, manages unionized teams, coordinates with judicial and government stakeholders, supports modernization and business continuity, and presents operational and financial recommendations to senior leadership, Council, and external partners.

Manages water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure asset-management projects, including audits, condition assessments, lifecycle planning, capital improvement business cases, budgets, schedules, consultants, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams. Develops long-term inspection and maintenance plans, ensures compliance with municipal and provincial requirements, prepares reports and presentations, liaises with government agencies, and supports infrastructure management budgets and procedures.

Supports and enhances the City’s Hexagon HxGN EAM platform through configuration, customization, integrations, reporting, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and performance optimization. Participates in Agile/Scrum delivery teams and supports production issues, system enhancements, data updates, GIS integrations, and enterprise reporting using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and related tools. The role may specialize in GIS/OpenCAD, general EAM application support, or DBPro/Python/.NET/API/ETL integration. On-call support and cross-departmental collaboration may be required.

Leads the City’s IT Operations function, including Service Desk, deskside support, IT service management, contract lifecycle governance, vendor performance, budgeting, operational risk, and service improvements. The role manages a multidisciplinary unionized team, establishes service standards, oversees incident and request resolution, coordinates technology sourcing and renewals, supports organizational change, and advises senior IT leadership on operational priorities, investments, and risks.

Provides front-line reception and information services to City Hall visitors and clients. Delivers assistance in person, by phone, and electronically; provides directions and information about City services; routes inquiries and documents; records requests in a CRM system; maintains information displays, supplies, statistics, and reception organization; operates office equipment; monitors the lobby; and escalates issues appropriately.

Leads the City’s enterprise cybersecurity and IT infrastructure program, including security strategy, incident response, risk and compliance, architecture, vulnerability testing, infrastructure operations, technology procurement, budgets, projects, and service management. Oversees approximately 45 cybersecurity and infrastructure staff, manages strategic vendors and contracts, advises executives, and ensures secure, reliable technology services across approximately 180 sites.

Leads the client-side implementation of a large-scale Finance and Supply Chain ERP transformation. Responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, resource and vendor coordination, governance, executive reporting, risk and issue management, stakeholder alignment, testing, data migration, integrations, deployment, change management, and value realization. The role requires managing cross-functional teams and implementation partners while ensuring delivery meets approved scope, timelines, governance standards, and strategic business objectives.
