Analyzes, maintains, and disseminates spatial and tabular data for the City's GIS and Open Data programs. Manages municipal infrastructure planning studies and designs for water, wastewater, stormwater, and roads. Coordinates consultants, internal teams, developers, government agencies, and stakeholders; conducts field investigations; provides technical guidance; prepares budgets, policies, reports, and Council materials; reviews development plans; and ensures projects remain within approved budgets and comply with applicable regulations.

Supports the Growth Management Division by administering development application data systems, maintaining records, preparing reports, tracking fees and municipal infrastructure, and documenting development processes. Creates manuals, flowcharts, status reports, and database features; coordinates information across departments; supports staging of development activities; and trains staff on tracking systems. The role also analyzes statistics and assists with development policy and procedure documentation.

Provides general cleaning and caretaking services for CityHousing buildings, including floor care, washroom and kitchen cleaning, waste removal, graffiti cleanup, snow and ice treatment, and equipment maintenance. Prepares common areas or units for pest control treatments, reports building deficiencies, performs keyholder duties, and interacts appropriately with tenants, contractors, emergency personnel, and housing staff. Works independently on a schedule that includes weekends and complies with health and safety requirements.

Manages the planning, operation, maintenance, financial performance, and service delivery of municipal parks, park facilities, and open spaces. Leads a large unionized workforce, oversees hiring and development, budgets, business plans, performance measures, compliance, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, contractors, and community relations. Ensures efficient, safe, legally compliant delivery of parks programs and represents the division with city leadership, council, staff, contractors, and the public.

Provides confidential administrative support to the Director of Revenue Services and coordinates divisional operations. Responsibilities include preparing correspondence and reports, managing meetings and schedules, processing financial and HR paperwork, maintaining records and filing systems, coordinating travel and supplies, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and mentoring or supporting junior staff. The role requires independent work, strong organization, accuracy, judgment, communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft systems.

Leads the pilot and implementation of Hamilton’s Community Benefits Framework, managing project scope, schedules, costs, risks, stakeholder relationships, evaluations, reporting, policy analysis, and collaboration with community groups, City departments, procurement staff, businesses, and government officials. The role develops workplans, performance measures, briefing materials, recommendations, and strategies supporting community employment, social procurement, public realm initiatives, and inclusive economic growth.

Reviews and approves residential, agricultural, structural, architectural, and mechanical plans for building permits. Ensures compliance with the Ontario Building Code, zoning by-laws, subdivision agreements, and related legislation. Examines construction methods, calculates structural loads, evaluates sewage systems, handles permit inquiries and fees, maintains records, coordinates with regulatory agencies, trains staff, and provides reports or evidence for hearings and enforcement matters.

Designs and oversees municipal infrastructure projects involving roads, streetscapes, watermain, sewer, drainage, bridges, and roundabouts. Produces engineering drawings, 3D models, hydraulic calculations, quantity estimates, tender documents, and technical reports. Reviews consultant and contractor submissions, coordinates utility relocations, supports environmental assessments and regulatory approvals, responds to public and stakeholder inquiries, and maintains project files and drafting standards.

Coordinates construction contract preparation, tendering, compliance reviews, contract administration, documentation, project tracking, scheduling, and reporting for municipal capital works programs. Liaises with procurement, legal, finance, consultants, contractors, and internal teams; maintains templates and filing systems; reviews specifications, bonds, insurance, and submissions; supports process improvements, staff training, and contract-related inquiries.

The Senior Process Engineer provides process engineering expertise for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities and capital projects. Responsibilities include treatment process design, construction and operations support, process and energy optimization, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, capital budgeting, project and contract management, staff supervision, and cross-functional leadership. The role also develops studies and programs, advises senior management and Council, liaises with regulators and stakeholders, and promotes reliable, efficient, and safe treatment operations.
