Lead and manage transit technology projects end-to-end, align business requirements, act as change agent, liaise with corporate IT and vendors (e.g., Trapeze), monitor application performance, prepare RFPs/RFIs, support grant applications, develop SOPs/training, and drive continuous improvement to support Transit growth and customer experience.

Lead all property tax billings (interim, final, supplementary, omitted); maintain and audit the Vailtech tax billing system and eBilling; coordinate with printing vendor; perform reconciliations between Vailtech and General Ledger; prepare financial data for the FIR, financial statements and council reports; design process improvements, implement system changes, develop reports, train staff and ensure system security and documentation.

Lead security governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives; implement and update security controls, policies and procedures; assess and remediate control gaps; advise leadership and legal; manage FOI and compliance records; deliver training and reporting to ensure protection of data and regulatory adherence.

Lead a tariff-focused aftercare program to protect and grow Hamilton businesses by coordinating a multi-partner Task Force, conducting business outreach and supply-chain analysis, procuring and transforming trade data into public reports and open-data assets, collaborating with partners and communications, and designing export supports and performance reporting to mitigate tariff risks and expand market access.

Support and improve municipal procurement processes and systems: develop policies, templates, reports, KPIs and training; perform data analysis; administer procurement software, fair wage complaints and FOI requests; prepare Committee/Council reports and benchmarking.

Prepare annual financial statements and Financial Information Return schedules, coordinate year-end audits, reconcile and review balance sheet accounts and journal entries, prepare HST/GST claims, analyze variances, improve and document accounting procedures, develop spreadsheet applications, train staff, and produce ad hoc reports for auditors and management.

Deliver and support community recreation programs, open/close and secure facilities, set up equipment, assist staff, promote programs, complete inspections and paperwork, ensure patron safety, and provide customer service at recreation centres.

Provide financial and scenario analysis, prepare and oversee complex consolidated annual financial statements, ensure statutory and HST compliance, support financial system projects, improve accounting functions, lead reporting and controls, advise management and Council, and provide training and project leadership within municipal finance.

Provide legal advice and representation on municipal planning, development and administrative law matters including advocacy before tribunals, development charges, expropriations, policy and document review, risk mitigation, and counsel to Council and staff. Conduct research, draft opinions, prepare documents, and support City programs while ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and policies.

Lead business analysis and change management for a cloud-based CAD implementation for Hamilton Fire. Define complex requirements, produce process flows and use cases, lead QA/UAT, mentor analysts, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure project delivery and benefit realization.

Provide strategic leadership for Ontario Works and low-income programs; manage supervisors, ensure legislative compliance, oversee budgeting, performance monitoring, privacy, quality assurance, service modernization, stakeholder and labour relations, and staff development within a unionized municipal environment.

Provide labour/staff relations expertise: develop policies, advise managers, negotiate collective agreements, handle grievances, prepare cases for mediation/arbitration and tribunals, deliver training, maintain grievance records, and support accommodation and dispute resolution initiatives.

Perform complex centralized procurement activities including preparing and executing competitive solicitations, evaluating bids, administering purchase orders and contracts, negotiating with suppliers, monitoring vendor performance, and advising client departments on procurement planning, compliance and specifications. Develop procurement tools, lead commodity/task groups, chair evaluations, and ensure adherence to the City's Procurement By-Law and related policies.

Manage growth-related municipal infrastructure planning and design projects (water, wastewater, stormwater, roads). Oversee consultants and internal teams, prepare RFPs, conduct field investigations, provide technical guidance, develop policy and standards, prepare capital budget inputs and reports, liaise with stakeholders and agencies, and ensure projects are delivered on scope and within approved budgets.

Manage permits, approvals, document control and technical reviews for the Hamilton LRT project. Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with Metrolinx and stakeholders, oversee budgets, schedules, commissioning, risk management, public engagement and reporting to senior management and Council.
