Leads process safety strategy and implementation across US refineries, serving as the regional subject matter expert. Develops methodologies, training, risk standards, and process safety engineering talent; oversees HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, facility siting, fire hazard, and third-party studies; supports audits, regulatory interpretation, RMP compliance, and policy development across US and Canadian operations.

Plans and schedules daily refinery product movements across commercial, marketing, and logistics teams. Optimizes distillate and NGL inventories, pipeline and barge shipments, margins, logistics efficiency, and product specifications. Monitors execution, resolves disruptions and inventory imbalances, coordinates with third-party customers, and supports distillate maximization strategies. The role also provides backfill support for other product scheduling positions.

Provides technical stewardship and integrity management for subsea production infrastructure. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, investigating anomalies, conducting risk assessments, developing repair and life-extension strategies, advancing digital monitoring and digital twin initiatives, coordinating inspections and offshore interventions, and supporting design, commissioning, and operational readiness. The role serves as the technical focal point for subsea systems and collaborates with operations, projects, contractors, vendors, and engineering partners to improve safety, reliability, production, and asset life.

Provides analytical oversight of engineering drawings and technical records, monitoring document workflows, compliance, metadata, revision control, data quality, KPIs, and records governance. Reviews complex technical submissions, investigates root causes, coordinates corrective actions, supports audits, and recommends process and system improvements. The role delivers reporting and risk analysis to improve document integrity, contractor performance, MOC closeout, and operational decision-making.

Entry-level Engineer-in-Training participating in three 12-month rotations across Cenovus’s Conventional Business Unit. Responsibilities may include optimizing natural gas and light oil assets, analyzing production and economic data, supporting capital projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in field visits, and applying engineering principles to improve performance and manage risk. Rotations may cover reservoir, production, facilities, operations technology, optimization, and asset development engineering.

Lead a portfolio of midstream oil and gas facility projects from initiation through closure. Responsibilities include project cost and schedule review, budgeting and forecasting, engineering work packages, technical specifications, drawings, facility modifications, process hazard analyses, regulatory compliance, and field coordination. The role also supports project management process development, operational integrity, continuous improvement, and safe project execution across HMGP field sites.

Leads reliability improvements for refinery equipment and instrumentation, including root cause analysis, vulnerability studies, reliability road maps, bad actor programs, failure-data analysis, maintenance strategy optimization, obsolescence planning, and defect-elimination projects. Partners with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to address reliability risks and improve equipment availability across pumps, compressors, motors, gauges, transmitters, and switches.

Leads execution of a $300–$400 million downstream refining project portfolio across US and Canadian sites. Oversees engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, quality, forecasting, and capital process improvement. Ensures projects meet safety, reliability, schedule, cost, and compliance expectations while coordinating with technical, operational, supply chain, commercial, and site leadership teams. Develops project personnel, provides safety and execution assurance, and supports front-end development and capital work performed by other departments.
