Caxy Mission, Purpose & Impact
Frequently Asked Questions
Caxy's mission comes through in how the work actually holds up over time, not just in what gets said about it. Our company has been building production software in Chicago since 1999, weathering multiple economic cycles and major shifts in how software gets built, while holding onto the same core approach: senior engineers, no offshore handoffs, and treating client software like it's Caxy's own. That shows up in results clients can point to directly, work like helping Porter Pipe & Supply cut $2.4M in annual operational costs, or scaling Wind Creek Hospitality's platform through massive traffic growth without downtime. It also shows up in relationships that last, some client partnerships go back 8+ years, and many of the people who started the company are still here.
We're actively involved in DePaul's job fairs and industry nights, and for the past two years we've hosted the University of Michigan's Future Developers Club.
Values at Caxy show up in the choices the company makes, not just the language it uses. That means building software meant to last 10+ years instead of chasing trendy frameworks that need constant rebuilding, being upfront with prospective clients about whether Caxy is actually the right fit before taking on the work, and being willing to walk away from client relationships that aren't healthy for the team. It's a consistency that's held for over two decades, which is part of what makes it credible.
Caxy has been doing this since 1999, and that longevity isn't incidental, it's the point. The company has outlasted multiple predictions that the agency model was dead by staying consistent on what matters: senior talent, honest client relationships, and software built to actually last. That same throughline, care over churn, substance over hype, is what shapes the employee experience too.
