Build and maintain backend systems powering Cash App Taxes, including federal and state tax logic and e-file submission. Translate complex tax requirements into reliable, scalable, well-tested software; create tools enabling safe contributions; make architectural decisions; and improve accuracy, performance, security, deployment, and documentation. Collaborate with tax specialists, product, QA, cloud platform, design, customer care, and other teams while applying AI coding tools and best practices.

Build and operate a scalable data platform supporting warehousing, orchestration, business intelligence, governance, and agentic workflows. Develop Python services, Terraform infrastructure, and developer tools for petabyte-scale data. Partner with data practitioners and product teams, establish security and reliability patterns, set technical direction, improve engineering standards, and mentor engineers.

Owns end-to-end reconciliation and financial reporting across card networks, banks, processors, and internal ledger data. Designs SQL-based reporting, dashboards, exception queues, metrics, controls, and automated solutions; investigates discrepancies, improves data pipelines, supports month-end close and audits, and partners with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, Engineering, and Product. Mentors analysts and drives process improvements, automation, and responsible AI adoption.
