Operate automatic spreading machinery to spread fabric according to markers, maximize material usage, monitor and adjust equipment, complete production records, perform preventative maintenance, identify malfunctions, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role also supports costing, BOM mapping, equipment planning, reporting, and labor-standard discussions with employees and the union.

Implements process changes, supports automation projects, mentors production staff, maintains KPIs, and uses shop floor control systems (Leadtec) and ERP/CAD tools to optimize productivity and reduce waste.

Operate and monitor automatic cutting machines to ensure correct styles, sizes, ply height and speeds. Inspect materials, maintain cut quality, change blades, follow safety procedures, assist sorter with packing, keep workstation clean, and report issues to supervisor.
