The Physician Hospitalist is responsible for providing inpatient care, diagnosing illnesses, and managing patient treatment and education. They work in a collaborative environment, engaging with medical staff and residents while ensuring quality patient-centered care.

Provide inpatient and admission care on the hospitalist service, evaluate and manage acute and chronic conditions, assist ED with admissions, rotate across Bronson hospitals (including behavioral health), document care and orders, coordinate multidisciplinary discharge/transfer planning, participate in Advanced Medicine Clinic, and be available for nursing inquiries and utilization review tasks.

Provide comprehensive inpatient care as an APP hospitalist: evaluate, diagnose, treat admitted patients, assist ED admissions, interpret tests, develop treatment plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, perform utilization review, document for billing, and work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends) across Bronson hospitals.

Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology care, including oncology diagnoses, hemophilia and sickle cell management. Teach residents and medical students, document and order tests/treatments in Epic, supervise mid-level staff, participate in quality improvement, and engage in academic and research activities.

Maintain cleanliness and supplies in the men's locker room: clean lockers, vacuum, launder towels (wash/dry/fold), restock dispensers and supplies, complete shift paperwork, assist members, and support other departments as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards across patient rooms, public and surgical areas. Perform cleaning, waste/linen removal, supply restocking, operate floor-care and UV disinfection equipment, follow isolation/PPE procedures, document tasks, and support departmental operations.

Maintain locker rooms: clean, restock towels and supplies, launder and fold towels, vacuum and clean lockers, complete end-of-shift paperwork, provide customer service and assist members and other departments as needed.

Provide administrative and clinical leadership during shifts, coordinate hospital-wide operations, manage patient placement and throughput, respond to crises and emergencies, conduct rounds, mentor staff, ensure safety/compliance, and complete required certifications and incident reporting.

Perform cleaning and infection-control tasks across patient rooms, surgical and public areas. Restock supplies, handle waste and linens, operate floor care and UV disinfection equipment, document tasks, follow CDC/OSHA/Joint Commission policies, and provide customer-focused service to patients, staff, and visitors.
