Lead planning and execution of signature fundraising events and Foundation communications. Oversee event logistics, vendor partnerships, sponsorship development, donor stewardship, and on-site execution. Serve as the organizations front desk representative by answering calls, greeting visitors, routing messages, managing mail/donations, maintaining a welcoming lobby, supporting administrative tasks, training reception staff, and protecting confidential information.

Manage clinical resources and daily utilization for the interdisciplinary hospice team; triage clinical calls; provide coverage, education, and direct care as needed; schedule on-call staffing and lead IDT meetings; oversee staff performance, documentation, and professional development; coordinate care with departments and ensure adherence to policies. Maintain required licensure and reliable transportation.

Design, develop, and maintain engaging training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff using adult learning principles, simulations, and e-learning (Relias). Build course materials, assessments, and evaluation tools; analyze training outcomes; assist with facilitation; maintain training records; and recommend improvements to leadership.

Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, case managers, and community organizations to drive hospice referrals and admissions. Represent the organization at events, provide clinical education, assess eligibility, coordinate admissions, use CRM for tracking, and collaborate on market analysis and territory planning to support growth and quality initiatives.

Provide compassionate end-of-life nursing care at inpatient hospice centers (IPU). Perform patient assessments, pain and symptom management, family education/support, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, document in EMR, follow rounding protocols, and uphold hospice philosophy and organizational values. PRN 12-hour day shifts, including weekends.

Provide outreach, assess psychosocial and social needs, coordinate community resources and benefits, support care plan follow-up, document in EMR, mentor MSW interns, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for patients with serious illness.

Lead and manage a 12-bed inpatient hospice unit, overseeing daily operations, staffing, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, recruitment, staff development, and patient care coordination while providing visible leadership and occasional direct patient care.

Respond to hospital requests for hospice assistance and referrals, educate and support facility staff, coordinate case management and discharge planning, facilitate admissions to inpatient units, conduct daily outreach to case managers, document activities in CRM, and support patients and families through end-of-life care. PRN role with rotating weekends/holidays and a minimum monthly shift requirement.

Facilitate and support the Advisory Council by running meetings, building stakeholder relationships, advancing community outreach and hospice access, overseeing data collection and program evaluation, assisting with grant research, and traveling extensively across seven rural counties to represent Big Bend Hospice.

Provide after-hours on-call hospice nursing care including urgent home visits, triage, medication guidance, documentation in EMR, coordination with physicians and clinical team, and patient/family support across multiple counties.
