Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, surgical imaging, and specialized gastrointestinal and invasive exams under radiologist supervision. Responds to contrast reactions and medical emergencies, exercises clinical judgment, and may float across Baystate Health locations to support staffing and patient care.

Responsibilities include controlled-substance storage and accountability, medication administration supervision, patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compliance with nursing, safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Transports patients to tests and procedures, assists with ambulation, positioning, transfers, and patient comfort under RN direction. Maintains and cleans unit equipment, conducts safety and environmental rounds, supports code responses, performs weights, assembles orthopedic equipment, and provides intermittent or constant patient observation. The role works nights on a part-time schedule with rotating weekend coverage and requires ASCP laboratory assistant certification and a GED or HiSET.
