Coordinate accurate, compliant payroll and pension processing for more than 2,200 university employees. Support system configuration, testing, process improvements, statutory compliance, audits, reporting, pension communications, and financial assurance. Provide day-to-day team leadership, resolve complex payroll queries, oversee monthly processing, and deputise for the Payroll and Pensions Manager when required.

Process supplier invoices, purchasing card transactions, and employee expense claims accurately and promptly. Reconcile supplier statements, resolve accounts payable queries, maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with university financial policies, and support timely payments and supplier relationships. The role also contributes to service-level delivery, continuous improvement, and effective Accounts Payable operations across Finance Services.

Perform planned and reactive maintenance across university buildings, including carpentry, decorating, minor plumbing, tiling, plastering, fire door inspections, and fire-stopping repairs. Diagnose defects, inspect completed work, support fire safety compliance, coordinate with Estates colleagues and contractors, and provide customer service. The role covers multiple campuses, historic buildings, roof spaces, cellars, and other restricted-access areas.
