Performs mechanical engineering duties involving the design or modification of machines, systems, units, and components. The role considers manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operational requirements for capital equipment used in paper converting and packaging applications.

Leads packaging engineering capital projects from execution through installation and startup. Responsibilities include line layout, mechanical design, packaging automation integration, equipment procurement, vendor and contractor management, schedules, project finances, site management, documentation, and client relationships. The role manages multiple projects, leads project teams, supports installations, and helps grow client accounts.

Fabricate and machine parts per drawings and work orders, perform setup/tear-down and preventative maintenance on machining centers, cut and prepare materials, inspect parts, and communicate timeline or modification needs with the manufacturing team.
