Drive adoption of Atomic Machines’ switching technology among power distribution, circuit protection, switchgear, and data-center infrastructure OEMs. Build strategic customer relationships, identify technical applications, lead discovery and design-in activities, manage evaluations and qualification programs, and advance opportunities through production. The role owns commercial discussions, pipeline and program management, ecosystem development, and industry engagement while partnering with engineering and product teams. Approximately 30–50% travel is required.

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for sustaining and improving manufacturing equipment and processes from development through production ramp. Duties include preventive maintenance, process optimization, BOM translation, root-cause analysis, documentation, equipment validation, contract manufacturer support, DFM/DFX feedback, and continuous improvement. The role partners with multidisciplinary teams, owns projects, supports production readiness, and travels between Emeryville and Santa Clara as needed.

Own end-to-end recruiting for hard-to-fill software and hardware technical roles. Source and engage passive candidates, build pipelines, deliver an exceptional candidate experience, advise hiring managers, calibrate candidate requirements, drive referrals, and adjust search strategies based on market conditions. The role requires strong sourcing expertise, AI tool fluency, transparent candidate communication, and onsite work three days per week in Emeryville or Santa Clara.

Design and implement robotic manufacturing applications, including automation sequences, state machines, hardware APIs, failure recovery, calibration, diagnostics, and simulation tools. Optimize machine cycle times, bring up electromechanical hardware, debug across software and hardware boundaries, improve observability and reliability, and participate in an on-call rotation. Daily development is primarily in Python, with collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams.

Design and build distributed manufacturing software coordinating state, timing, and behavior across hardware. Implement APIs, real-time controllers, instrumentation for ML/AI, and reliability/observability. Drive architecture decisions, improve CI/CD and testing practices, debug across software/firmware/hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to converge on a production-ready platform.

Own end-to-end electrical test development for novel micromachine devices, including test strategy, precision measurement, instrumentation, PCB design, firmware, mechanical fixtures, and production integration. Develop error budgets, validate data quality, document systems, and improve reliability and throughput while balancing accuracy, cost, scalability, and speed. Collaborate with device, manufacturing, and product teams to translate ambiguous requirements into measurable specifications and robust test systems.

Manage PLM document control in Arena: create/update/release drawings, SOPs, and manufacturing instructions; perform QA checks; route ECOs; maintain templates and naming conventions; produce work instructions and onboarding materials; perform light CAD tasks in Onshape; audit and improve documentation and workflows.

Build and operate production MLOps infrastructure spanning experimentation, model training, deployment, serving, monitoring, retraining, and rollback. Develop ML data and feature pipelines using multimodal manufacturing data, maintain lakehouse and feature-store capabilities, and establish observability and human-in-the-loop feedback systems. Collaborate with data, AI, software, process, materials, and simulation engineers to deliver reliable, scalable ML platforms and model feedback loops.

Build financial infrastructure, models, scenario analyses, and reporting to support resource allocation, cost optimization, unit economics, and operational planning. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Go-to-Market, data teams, PMO, and senior leadership to track execution, identify risks, improve reporting, and prepare board and investor materials.

Architect and implement software infrastructure that coordinates precision manufacturing equipment, robotics, embedded controllers, and cloud services. Define interfaces, develop APIs and distributed services, build automated testing, simulation, and CI/CD pipelines, perform system integration and validation, drive performance and reliability improvements, and lead cross-boundary debugging, FMEA, and root-cause analysis.

Lead end-to-end People Operations to scale processes, HRIS, payroll/benefits in‑house, performance and development programs, site employee experience, and People Ops team development across multiple California sites.

Own the design-for-manufacturing software layer of the Matter Compiler CAM stack. Develop computational geometry algorithms, manufacturability constraints, layout and retention logic, physical process models, validation systems, and production knowledge bases. Collaborate with AI, modeling, design, and process engineering teams to translate manufacturing expertise into auditable, testable code and validate results against fab runs.

Design, build, document, and troubleshoot electrical systems for custom manufacturing equipment. Own integration of sensors, actuators, power, connectors, and interconnects through prototype build, bring-up, validation, and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on packaging, assembly, test fixtures, and serviceability.

Develop CAD automation pipelines and collaborate with teams to optimize designs for micromachines, ensuring manufacturability and functionality.
