Lead the planning, design, and delivery of VDOT and municipal roadway projects across Virginia. Develop roadway plans, profiles, traffic-control plans, typical sections, and cost estimates; coordinate with clients, contractors, utilities, and public agencies; participate in public meetings; and mentor junior engineers. The role also involves project management, stakeholder advising, and supporting roadway practice growth.

Supports traffic engineering and transportation planning projects through traffic data collection and analysis, engineering plan and report preparation, software-assisted project deliverables, team collaboration, and project meetings. The intern gains hands-on experience working alongside transportation engineers while assisting with technical and administrative tasks.

Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews, maintaining candidate communications, and partnering with hiring managers. Build talent pipelines, track recruiting metrics, maintain hiring records, optimize sourcing strategies, and improve recruitment processes. The role focuses on engineering, construction, architectural, and technical talent and uses ATS and Microsoft Office tools.

Produces roadway construction drawings, plan sets, profiles, alignments, grading plans, corridor models, traffic control plans, drainage details, and quantity takeoffs using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer. Coordinates survey, utility, right-of-way, and agency information; maintains CAD standards and project files; performs quality checks and revises drawings based on reviews. Supports PDF submissions, CAD workflow testing, training, and occasional roadway site visits while working under licensed engineers.

Leads roadway infrastructure planning, design, and delivery for VDOT and municipal projects. Produces roadway plans, construction documents, alignments, grading, drainage, traffic control, signing, and pavement marking designs. Ensures compliance with VDOT, AASHTO, and local standards; coordinates multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, utilities, and public agencies. Manages schedules, budgets, deliverables, QA/QC, design exceptions, public meetings, and field inspections while mentoring junior staff and supporting proposals and business development.

The Senior Traffic Engineer will perform transportation planning studies, deliver traffic analyses for projects, and manage client interactions and technical teams.

The Senior Roadway Engineering Manager will oversee roadway design projects, manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure quality control in compliance with AASHTO and VDOT standards.
