Leads process and controls engineering for steam turbine and generator auxiliary systems. Responsibilities include process design, P&IDs, control logic, safety studies, RAM analysis, interfaces, design reviews, documentation, customer queries, FAT participation, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and configuration management. The role requires coordination across engineering disciplines, customers, suppliers, and site teams while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.

Partner with managers and HR teams on talent development, performance management, competency processes, and employee lifecycle support.

Install, inspect, maintain, overhaul, and reassemble large steam turbines, generators, power units, and auxiliaries at customer sites. Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions, identify equipment issues, perform high-tolerance mechanical measurements, complete documentation, support customers, follow EHS and Foreign Material Exclusion requirements, and travel to project locations.

Operate mills, lathes, and drills to manufacture bespoke metal components from engineering drawings and customer requirements. Write and edit NC programs, including Siemens 840D controls, and inspect finished parts using micrometers and other tools. Support quality, EHS, continuous improvement, and new product initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance. Work rotating weekday shifts and obtain or maintain SC security clearance for UK Defence customers.

Lead new-build sales across Canada and the United States, developing opportunities, sales strategies, bids, customer relationships, contract negotiations, and forecasts. Partner with tendering and cross-functional teams to manage complex, high-value nuclear and energy industry deals from identification through contract conclusion. Maintain CRM records, report performance and market trends, influence senior stakeholders, and support business growth in a competitive environment.

Designs and studies electrical equipment and systems for nuclear power projects, including single-line diagrams, load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, protection, cable sizing, and switchgear design. Reviews RFQs, vendor offers, technical documents, and project documentation; coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, customers, suppliers, and global engineering centers. Provides site support during erection and commissioning, participates in design reviews, supports claims, and ensures quality and on-time delivery. Requires occasional domestic and international travel.

Manages supplier quality for UK Defence projects across new-build and spares programs. Responsibilities include supplier onboarding and qualification, quality-system and manufacturing-process audits, supplier surveillance, inspection coordination, product release, non-conformance resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. The role works closely with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and project teams, requiring regular travel to suppliers and customer locations.

Assemble, fit, and fabricate heavy metal components per engineering drawings. Use hand and power tools, perform cutting, grinding, and fitting, prepare parts for welding, inspect assemblies, maintain tools and equipment, follow EHS and lean practices, and collaborate with teams to meet quality and project deadlines.

Supervise field mechanical installation, inspection, maintenance and reassembly of power units (2MW–2000MW). Manage craft personnel, safety (permits, RAMS, hazard hunts), quality documentation, outage schedules, and stakeholder communication while traveling extensively to UK and international sites.

Manage supplier onboarding and qualification for Instrumentation & Controls. Perform supplier audits, inspections, surveillance, nonconformity management (8D/RCA), approve qualifications, prepare QCPs, and support shipment authorization and supplier performance tracking.

Define and implement detailed MOPs/SOPs for turbine casing production; plan hours, tooling and procurement; coordinate machine shop operations, scheduling and vendor development; resolve technical issues, lead quality and lean initiatives (VSM, PFMEA, 8D, 5S); drive new product qualification and mentor shop engineers to meet EHS, OTD and COPQ targets.

Lead industrialization and site construction for a new turbine and generator product line: manage teams, ensure EHS and ISO compliance, drive lean and smart-manufacturing integration, oversee quality, commissioning, scheduling, cost control, and new-product qualification to meet production targets.

Coordinate government relations, early-stage business development, academic partnerships, events, and grants. Prepare briefing materials, support stakeholder engagement and follow-up, align cross-functional teams, track milestones, and produce internal reports to enable senior leadership and drive market development.

Support the Construction Manager to plan, execute and track mechanical erection works. Manage subcontractors, coordinate with Engineering and Procurement, ensure EHS and quality compliance, produce as-built documentation, resolve deviations, support commissioning, and apply LEAN methods to meet schedule, budget and safety targets.

Manage project accounting and controls: reconcile SAP project financials, monitor costs and cash flows, define revenue milestones, handle invoicing and forex reconciliation, manage bonds/guarantees, support claims and audits, and produce project financial reporting and KPI updates.

Lead mechanical engineering scope for nuclear steam turbine projects, coordinate design teams, manage technical interfaces, ensure quality, schedule, budget compliance, and nuclear safety; support manufacturing/site activities and drive continuous improvement.

Lead sourcing and procurement for assigned commodities: manage RFQs, negotiate contracts, place orders, and monitor supplier performance. Drive supplier development, cost reduction, lead-time reduction, risk mitigation, and KPI alignment. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, logistics, and commodity leaders, focusing on sourcing for turbine/generator and heavy mechanical components.
