Provide full-cycle recruiting support for a 5-month contract: source, screen, coordinate interviews, manage Paycom workflows, support offers, track pipelines, and partner with hiring managers to maintain compliant, timely hiring and a positive candidate experience.

Seasonal on-site caretaker for off-grid backcountry huts: welcome and orient guests, maintain hut systems and cleanliness, record weather and finances, sell merchandise/memberships, manage kitchen use, collect water, shovel snow, support local search-and-rescue, and follow AMC operations and USFS hut permit regulations.

Lead and grow AMC's President's Society ($1,000+ donors) to meet membership, revenue, retention, and upgrade targets. Supervise Donor Engagement Manager and collaborate with Major Gifts, Marketing, and Program teams to deepen engagement, drive upgrades, and support campaign goals. Spend ~50% time on direct donor outreach and the remainder on program leadership and execution.

Lead and grow AMC's planned giving program, secure six- and seven-figure outright and deferred gifts, manage donor portfolios, collaborate with frontline fundraisers and leadership, develop marketing and stewardship strategies, steward Summit Trust members, and provide training and guidance on complex gift vehicles to maximize campaign fundraising.

The Appalachian Mountain Club seeks Ridgerunners for summer roles. Responsibilities include hiking up to 15 miles daily, engaging the public, reporting trail conditions, and educating visitors on sustainability and safety on the Appalachian Trail.

The Backcountry Hut Naturalist leads environmental education programs, connects visitors with nature, and performs various operational duties in an AMC hut.

The Visitors Services Specialist represents AMC to visitors, manages reservations, handles cash transactions, provides local information, and assists with center maintenance and guest services.

Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities; manage complex general ledger accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting. Oversee investments, endowments, restricted funds, capital projects, fixed assets, and book distribution accounting. Own and operationalize AMC's WordPress platform (AWS/PHP), improve performance, security, CI/CD, and integrations (Salesforce, Shopify, Click & Pledge). Architect a headless CMS future state, define content models, APIs, migration roadmap, platform governance, SLAs, and monitoring while partnering with Marketing, Data, and Salesforce teams.

Manage and develop Appalachian Mountain Club education programs in Piscataquis County: build partnerships, design and teach day and residential outdoor curricula aligned to NGSS, supervise staff, handle logistics, safety and incidents, manage budgets and inventories, evaluate outcomes, and support grant reporting and community engagement.

Lead coalition-based conservation and recreation policy work in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Build relationships with government, partners, and volunteers; analyze legislation and regulations; run advocacy campaigns; write communications and policy materials; organize events and grant proposals; represent AMC regionally and coordinate across internal teams to advance land, water, recreation, climate, and equity priorities.

Lead and facilitate hikes and walks across NYC boroughs and nearby parks, design place-based educational programming, ensure participant safety and risk management, provide transport and logistical support, assist events and gear library, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to build community.

Lead product strategy and execution across member/donor, lodging/booking, volunteer, and shared data platforms. Own roadmap, translate needs into requirements and metrics, establish product practices, run senior reviews, partner with tech and business teams, and coach product managers to deliver measurable value and adoption.

Senior executive responsible for strategic leadership of AMC's Land Management, Trails, Research, and Policy teams. Oversees land acquisition and stewardship, trails operations, scientific research, policy advocacy, and fundraising. Builds partnerships, manages multi-million-dollar budgets, directs staff and volunteers, represents AMC externally, and ensures integration of conservation functions across a regional footprint.

Support direct mail and print fundraising and membership campaigns through data management, segmentation, reporting, project coordination, and print production support. Manage workflows in Airtable and Jira, maintain production schedules, use Salesforce for data hygiene and analysis, track performance and budgets, gather vendor quotes, and recommend process improvements.
