Seasonal Forestry Intern supporting management of AMC’s 114,000-acre Maine Woods Initiative tract. Responsibilities include forest inventory sampling, harvest and precommercial layout, boundary maintenance, timber marking, road and culvert assessments using GIS, seasonal crew oversight, site visits, public talks, and conservation events. The role requires remote fieldwork in variable conditions, outdoor navigation, independent work, collaboration, and vehicle operation.

Coordinates Growth Team budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, expense coding, KPIs, campaign reviews, projects, deadlines, meetings, and team events. Lead coalition-based conservation and recreation policy work in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Seasonal full-time caretaker supporting lodge operations: guest service, check-in/out, daily cleaning, maintenance, snow and trash removal, kitchen oversight, retail sales, weather reporting, and implementing conservation practices. Requires teamwork, physical ability, and backcountry travel readiness.

Manage day-to-day forestry operations on AMC’s Maine Woods Initiative lands: coordinate road and bridge construction/maintenance, oversee timber harvests and contractors to meet silvicultural and BMP objectives, assist with multi-year harvest and operational planning, maintain infrastructure inventories and project files, perform property layout/marking, and collaborate with volunteers and partners. Role involves substantial remote fieldwork and inspections.

Senior executive responsible for strategic leadership of AMC's Land Management, Trails, Research, and Policy teams. Oversees land acquisition and stewardship, trails operations, scientific research, policy advocacy, and fundraising. Builds partnerships, manages multi-million-dollar budgets, directs staff and volunteers, represents AMC externally, and ensures integration of conservation functions across a regional footprint.

Lead product strategy and execution across member/donor, lodging/booking, volunteer, and shared data platforms.
