Supports TxDOT’s AI Development team by evaluating emerging AI/ML technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts, and developing predictive analytics, NLP, and computer vision applications. Builds scalable AI pipelines, deploys and monitors models, and collaborates with data, engineering, and software teams to implement AI-driven business solutions. This is an onsite role for candidates residing within 50 miles of Austin, Texas.

Designs and governs enterprise, solution, and domain architectures across applications, data, infrastructure, security, cloud, and hybrid environments. Translates business requirements and strategy into target-state architectures, roadmaps, standards, solution designs, risk assessments, remediation plans, financial models, and Statements of Work. Provides technical guidance as a subject matter expert and evaluates modernization approaches for legacy and COTS/SaaS platforms, including generative AI integrations.

Manage complex IT projects and program initiatives for TxDOT, overseeing timelines, budgets, risks, issues, requirements, vendors, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting. The role coordinates internal, partner, and third-party resources, maintains project artifacts, supports enterprise systems integration, and ensures successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Support and maintain a mission-critical Cisco-based LAN/WAN for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Monitor circuits, troubleshoot router/switch/firewall issues, implement and upgrade Cisco products, perform maintenance and after-hours support, collaborate across teams, and participate in on-call rotations and occasional on-site work.

Leads cloud infrastructure architecture and engineering for enterprise IT modernization. Designs cloud solutions, network topologies, technical specifications, scalable systems, Kubernetes environments, serverless infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code deployments. Coordinates cross-functional and cross-agency initiatives, guides implementation, develops automation and integration pipelines, analyzes system capabilities, and ensures security, compliance, monitoring, and operational effectiveness. The role also leads best-practice development and provides technical direction to team members.
