Provide patient care and safe interfacility ambulance transport between hospitals, nursing homes, residences, and behavioral health facilities. Monitor and assess patients per EMS protocols and physician orders, assist paramedics in ALS situations, maintain paperwork, vehicle/medication accountability, HIPAA compliance, and professional appearance. Must hold required certifications and a valid driver's license.

Manage insurance claims, accounts receivable, collections and payer follow-up. Research EOBs, correct claims or file appeals, analyze payer trends, resolve denials, and provide excellent customer service while supporting payment plans and charity/write-off considerations.

Prepare and submit patient transport bills by reviewing care reports, verifying information, assigning billing codes and profit centers, and entering tickets (minimum 30/day) in Zoll RescueNet. Handle patient and third-party calls, screen for financial assistance, document all communications, and perform receptionist duties as needed.

Lead and oversee the Patient Accounts/Revenue Cycle function, ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and payer rules, optimize claim collections and cash flow, manage staff and training, coordinate with finance, operations, IT and compliance, and maintain enrollment/revalidation for state and federal payer programs.

Manage day-to-day IT operations and staff guidance while acting as a hands-on systems administrator. Support Windows server environments, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, VMware, networking, backups, cybersecurity operations, scripting/automation, incident response, and documentation to ensure reliability, security, and business continuity.
