Requires strong research, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of property and casualty insurance products.

Conduct on-site risk control surveys, prepare objective reports, analyze loss history and hazards, recommend and implement loss-reduction and safety training programs, assist underwriting and agents, use industry standards (NFPA, OSHA, DOT, A.M. Best), maintain agency relationships, and travel within assigned territory.

Investigates and evaluates auto physical damage and basic liability claims by determining coverage, liability, damages, reserves, fraud, and subrogation. Communicates with customers and external parties, documents claim files, conducts interviews and research, negotiates settlements, and resolves or refers claims while maintaining accurate records and professional service.

Conducts commercial insurance risk assessments, surveys, and accident investigations; prepares account reports; identifies loss exposures; recommends hazard controls; and develops customized safety and training programs. Designs, configures, and maintains IT systems for performance, availability, scalability, and security. Monitors system health, automates administration, troubleshoots complex issues, supports incident response and disaster recovery, ensures compliance, documents configurations, and mentors junior engineers.

Design, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. Own IaC (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell) and CI/CD pipelines, integrate source control and automated testing/security, implement governance and hybrid cloud solutions, deploy generative AI services, monitor performance, support disaster recovery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud platforms.

Designs, implements, and supports enterprise infrastructure platforms centered on OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitOps, and container technologies. Responsibilities include cluster lifecycle management, CI/CD, virtualization, storage, monitoring, automation, security, backups, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, system upgrades, documentation, and incident response. The role collaborates cross-functionally, mentors junior engineers, supports continuous improvement, and participates in on-call activities and after-hours changes when needed.

Support maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of commercial and personal lines insurance products. Draft and coordinate forms, endorsements, rates, and rules; prepare and submit filings and statistical reports; manage ISO reporting; implement regulatory changes; monitor industry trends; provide cross-functional guidance to ensure products remain competitive and compliant.

Manage and execute Acuity's Voice of Customer programs: build and field Qualtrics surveys, maintain feedback workflows and platforms, collect and organize customer/agent feedback, update VOC dashboards/reports, and prepare summaries for stakeholders while supporting program administration.

Design, build, and maintain software applications; collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders; resolve bugs and production issues; write scalable, testable code; perform testing and debugging; produce technical documentation; mentor peers; participate in on-call rotation; leverage the team's data ecosystem to inform application design and improvements.

Support data analytics and visualization by conducting research, collecting data, applying mathematical models, algorithms, and machine learning techniques, and summarizing findings accurately. Collaborate with team members, follow department procedures, and learn actuarial methodologies, company operations, and computer systems. The intern must demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent work skills while pursuing an undergraduate degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field.

Conduct telephone premium audits for workers’ compensation, general liability, and commercial auto policies. Update audit worksheets, determine classifications and exposures, resolve disputes, approve revisions within authority, and answer questions from underwriters, agents, and customers. Manage assignments efficiently while meeting quality and productivity standards, maintain audit expertise through training, and provide professional customer service. This is a remote role with an onsite requirement twice annually.

Designs, deploys, integrates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots storage and IT infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, object storage, VMware, networking, backups, and disaster recovery systems. Implements automation, security controls, patches, and system upgrades while maintaining documentation and compliance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, participates in incident response and recovery planning, supports system rollouts, and mentors junior engineers. Requires occasional after-hours work and on-call availability for critical incidents.

Supports corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal operations by maintaining records, inventories, filings, and compliance tracking tools. Assists with contracts, regulatory inquiries, subpoena responses, legal research, internal investigations, complaints monitoring, and corrective-action documentation. Collaborates with internal departments to resolve legal and regulatory matters and ensure timely compliance.

Manage Acuity’s personal or package insurance product lines, overseeing product strategy, roadmaps, market performance, growth, and profitability. Analyze competitive, customer, pricing, and industry data to identify product opportunities and enhancements. Collaborate with underwriting, distribution, actuarial, communications, and other stakeholders to execute strategies, align goals, and deliver insights to business leaders.
