The Commercial Lender/Relationship Manager develops and manages a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits while providing customized lending solutions and excellent member service.

Develops and applies risk metrics and methodologies, reports exposures, oversees the risk appetite framework, conducts enterprise and targeted risk assessments, mentors junior staff, manages vendor due diligence and SOC reviews, coordinates business continuity and disaster recovery, supports incident response and regulatory compliance, and prepares risk-related committee reports.

Lead commercial credit underwriting and a team of underwriters/analysts, manage personal underwriting pipeline, assess financial statements and credit risk, prepare credit memorandums, enforce policy and regulatory compliance, drive process and technology improvements, manage vendor relationships, support audits, and collaborate with commercial lending leadership to set strategy and goals.

Lead the internal audit function: develop audit policies and plans, manage audit staff, perform operational and accounting audits, investigate possible fraud, oversee external auditors/examiners, report findings to the Supervisory Audit Committee, monitor remediation, ensure compliance with GAAP/GAAS and relevant state/NCUA regulations, and provide training and special projects support.

Serve as the primary credit union specialist for sensitive and specialty accounts (trusts, POA, guardianship, deceased, representative payees). Advise members and internal teams, review and approve documentation, maintain compliance with policies and regulations, manage deceased account workflows, develop training and hub materials, and coordinate with legal, vendors, and courts to resolve sensitive account issues.

Manage and monitor an existing commercial loan portfolio by analyzing borrower financials, identifying risk, maintaining compliance and reporting (ALLL, SAC). Support underwriting for smaller loans, prepare credit memos, track financial documentation, and assist auditors/regulators.

Administer full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, maintain HRIS and reporting, support compensation and job administration, manage employee relations, performance management, and HR process improvements. Provide HR support, maintain confidential records, and partner on workforce initiatives.

Designs, delivers, and manages onboarding, instructor-led and eLearning programs. Coaches member-facing staff on sales and service, evaluates training effectiveness, maintains LMS and training resources, and partners with HR and leadership to address skill gaps and improve performance.
