Anthropic announced the release of Claude Opus 4.1, the latest iteration of its large language model designed to tackle complex tasks with advanced reasoning. This product improves the company’s coding performance to 74.5 percent on the software engineering benchmark, a notable increase above the 72.5 percent achieved by Opus 4.
The update is intended to generally surpass the previous version of Opus in all areas, including agentic tasks, real-world coding and reasoning. Opus 4.1 also builds upon the tool’s deep research and data analysis capabilities. This release is the first of several large improvements Anthropic plans to execute in its models in the coming weeks.
Opus 4.1 is now available to paid Claude users and in Claude Code. The tool is also accessible via Anthropic’s API, as well as through Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI. Users can access the LLM at the same price as Opus 4.
