Nine-to-ten week Summer Analyst internship within Global Compliance. Interns receive training, attend orientation, and work on real responsibilities supporting compliance activities: monitoring regulations, developing policies, advising business units, managing audits/inquiries, and performing surveillance and testing.

Own Kovo’s entire legal and compliance function as its first legal hire. Lead regulatory and product work for new consumer financial products, including licensing, bank partnerships, policies, disclosures, marketing review, privacy, BSA/AML/KYC, fraud, litigation, audits, and regulator relationships. Build scalable, AI-enabled workflows that automate recurring legal operations while maintaining rigorous quality. Partner closely with founders, product, engineering, marketing, banks, and regulators in a fully remote, high-intensity fintech environment.

Provides broad corporate legal support across governance, commercial and technology contracts, litigation, privacy, cybersecurity, product development, and regulatory risk. Drafts and negotiates SaaS, licensing, vendor, data processing, and trader agreements; manages outside counsel, litigation, subpoenas, corporate records, and legal research. Advises leadership and cross-functional teams, supports privacy and security incidents, and delivers internal legal and compliance training.

Drafts and negotiates customer, vendor, licensing, technology, purchase, service, and consulting agreements. Advises business teams on intellectual property, generative AI, contract interpretation, and related legal matters. Reviews RFPs and due diligence questionnaires, coordinates with outside counsel, and supports corporate, employment, and litigation matters. Requires independent judgment, strong analytical and drafting skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Serve as Collective’s product and regulatory lawyer, advising Product and Member Operations from design through launch. Lead regulatory guidance across tax, payments, insurance, and partnerships; draft member-facing terms and disclosures; build the compliance program; advise on privacy, data use, AI disclosures, GLBA, and CCPA/CPRA; and chair the Risk Oversight Committee while reporting risks to leadership and the Board.

Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and assist with drafting, reviewing, and proofreading regulatory filings, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents. The intern will organize legal resources, attend meetings, collaborate with attorneys and colleagues, and support additional legal projects. This hybrid summer role requires in-person work in Midtown Manhattan and residence in an approved state.

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, support product and regulatory matters, research laws, assist with licensing and disputes, maintain corporate records, and improve legal processes using AI and technology. The role partners closely with business teams in a fast-paced fintech startup and offers broad exposure to contracts, compliance, governance, litigation, and financial services.

Owns day-to-day corporate legal operations, including investor due diligence, audit requests, governance documentation, corporate filings, entity records, outside counsel and legal vendor management. Supports commercial transactions and compliance matters while coordinating with Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, and People teams. The role may expand into board coordination, legal research, contract drafting, and corporate IP portfolio management.

Manages legal and compliance operations, including contracts, regulatory filings, corporate governance, entity management, audits, outside counsel, legal technology, and workflow improvements. Supports securities-law compliance, regulated financial products, digital-asset matters, transactions, policies, and business-team guidance under counsel supervision.

Owns Ethos’s insurance marketing compliance review function, including AI review-tool administration, automation strategy, human oversight, regulatory standards, disclosures, audit trails, and review operations. Personally handles complex reviews while improving intake, SLAs, quality, throughput, and reporting. Partners with Marketing, Product, Legal, Engineering, Data, carriers, and regulators; supports filings and exams; and builds the function by hiring and managing a compliance analyst.
