The Grant Writer manages the entire grants lifecycle, develops proposals, and collaborates with staff to secure funding, while ensuring compliance with grant regulations.

Lead site financial operations for the Moorpark manufacturing site: provide strategic partnership to site leadership, manage budgeting/forecasting, cost accounting and standard costing, drive profitability and working capital improvements, ensure accurate month-end close and GAAP compliance, support audits, and enable operational performance through financial analysis and ERP/reporting enhancements.

Partner with the CFO to build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and KPIs; perform scenario and acquisition analyses; create PowerBI dashboards and SQL queries; prepare monthly/quarterly reporting; support capital markets and investor diligence; drive process improvements and cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Manage internal controls over financial reporting, SOC 1 audit, month-end close, fair value analyses, and related audits. Lead a small team, coordinate with auditors and cross-functional partners, analyze variances, strengthen controls, maintain accounting policies, and support system implementations and automation initiatives.

Provide accounts payable support by entering and coding invoices, maintaining vendor records, processing expense reimbursements, assisting with 1099 preparation and distribution, and cross-training on payroll and other accounting functions. Requires strong analytical, organizational, communication, and data-entry skills.

Ensure accurate, payroll-ready time and pay data for craft and administrative employees by monitoring timesheet submission, reviewing entries for compliance, resolving pay issues, coordinating corrections with Shared Services Payroll, supporting onboarding/offboarding payroll tasks, and partnering with field teams, People Practice, and unions to deliver consistent payroll processing.

Own day-to-day bi-monthly US payroll processing for a multi-state workforce, ensure federal/state/local compliance, manage 401(k) reconciliations and funding, support year-end W-2s and audits, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and drive process improvements while collaborating with HR, Finance, and vendors.

Manage post-award cost accounting for grants and contracts, ensure compliance, perform financial monitoring and reporting, review complex awards, use spreadsheets and ERP, and communicate with government and institutional officials to support MUHA grants administration.

Support and monitor the banks compliance program by conducting periodic audits, answering staff compliance questions, and collaborating on BSA reviews. Focuses on deposit- or loan-related regulations, implements and maintains compliance functions, provides backup coverage for team duties, and helps prevent regulatory, financial, and reputational risk.

Manage development, analysis, and administration of labor rates and wage pools; forecast and monitor labor and indirect costs; maintain wage pool and labor distribution data in financial systems; produce financial reports and recommendations; ensure compliance with DOE, CAS, and GAAP; support month/year-end close; liaise on joint appointments; identify process improvements and maintain policy and control documentation.
