Leads the Applied Technology service line, owning technical direction, delivery, staffing, P&L, customer relationships, and growth. The VP architects and delivers tailored solutions for national security and intelligence missions, combining proprietary, commercial, open-source, and purpose-built technologies. Responsibilities include building engineering teams, defining ambiguous requirements, managing technical risk and accreditation, supporting capture, integrating products, and institutionalizing scalable delivery practices. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, government customer engagement, and frequent domestic and international travel.

Lead technical pre-sales engagements for DevOps and platform engineering prospects. Conduct discovery, design and build custom AI agents, deliver demos and proofs of concept, assess infrastructure, develop ROI and migration plans, handle technical objections, and coordinate handoffs to onboarding and engineering teams. The role requires strong cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, AI tooling, security, compliance, scripting, presentation, and solution architecture expertise.

Owns post-sales customer operations by designing lifecycle processes, customer engagement systems, reporting, playbooks, automation, and scalable workflows. Partners with Post-Sales leadership and cross-functional teams to improve customer outcomes, renewals, expansions, adoption, and churn management. Evaluates go-to-market tools, supports onboarding and enablement, coordinates strategic initiatives, and uses data to guide operational improvements.

Coordinates cross-functional engineering execution across hardware, software, firmware, platform, and systems teams. Tracks milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and capacity using Jira, Confluence, and dashboards. Facilitates planning and status reviews, prioritizes customer and field requests, improves engineering processes and tooling, and supports onsite product deployment and adoption. The role aligns technical stakeholders, manages execution without direct authority, and drives predictable delivery and operational excellence.

Provides senior engineering and project leadership for complex technical programs. Responsibilities include establishing design criteria, scope, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and baselines; integrating engineering teams and subcontractors; managing cost, schedule, quality, document control, and project controls; resolving technical conflicts; evaluating variances; conducting field walk-downs; communicating results; and mentoring engineering staff. Requires extensive engineering experience, strong project management capabilities, EVMS knowledge, and the ability to support government site activities.

Operate and optimize Palo Alto firewalls and load balancers for a DISA customer. Identify misconfigurations and security gaps, improve rule sets, evaluate firewall performance, monitor traffic utilization, provide Tier 3 network support, advise on Palo Alto architecture, and maintain compliance with DoD STIGs, DISA orders, and JSIG guidelines.

Own day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, billing, payroll, revenue accounting, financial reporting, and monthly and quarterly close. Partner with the fractional CFO and cross-functional teams on commissions, internal controls, tax, audit, treasury, and operational finance initiatives. Build scalable accounting processes, manage finance systems, and support leadership, investor, and Board reporting in a fast-growing environment.

Own Frame Security’s end-to-end growth marketing engine, including paid acquisition, SEO, website conversion, email, social, content distribution, analytics, and experimentation. Drive marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue while partnering with founders on messaging, positioning, launches, and go-to-market strategy. Build dashboards, optimize campaigns, develop thought leadership, and establish the company as a category leader in cybersecurity.

Own and optimize the go-to-market technology stack, including HubSpot and sales platforms. Manage user access, configurations, integrations, data quality, vendors, documentation, and system rollouts. Build reports and dashboards, monitor GTM performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and identify automation opportunities. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and leadership to improve operational processes, reporting standards, platform adoption, and system effectiveness.

Leads systems engineering activities for complex defense and intelligence systems, including requirements analysis, architecture and design, functional allocation, interface management, integration and test planning, risk management, technical documentation, and configuration control. Develops DoDAF and SOA architectures, supports JCIDS and certification processes, and ensures system requirements, security mechanisms, and technical deliverables meet government and program needs. Requires extensive systems engineering experience and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
