Manages and develops contracts professionals, aligns contract strategies with business objectives, and oversees prime and subcontract activities. The role also supports acquisition due diligence, government registrations, export licensing transfers, and contract novations. Regular domestic and international travel is required, along with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.

Own and develop Cricut’s global patent program across invention harvesting, patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate analysis, portfolio strategy, competitive intelligence, licensing, enforcement, and disputes. Advise engineering, product, and business teams on patentability, risk mitigation, design-around strategies, and intellectual property decisions. Manage outside counsel and international patent matters while supporting IP-related agreements and commercial transactions.

Provides legal department document, contract, litigation, corporate governance, and data administration support. Maintains legal records, contract databases, matter-management systems, and governance documentation; coordinates contract execution, reporting, document intake, board materials, meetings, and outside counsel requests.
