Prepare, edit, and transcribe legal documents; create spreadsheets, charts, presentations, and mail merges; use document comparison and recovery tools; handle confidential materials; intake and prioritize client requests and deadlines.

Provide legal support for U.S. operations on contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate government and commercial agreements; manage FOIA requests, corporate filings, and board governance; support claims, litigation, subpoenas, and dispute resolution with external counsel; develop contracting templates and legal guardrails; liaise with operations, central services, risk teams, and CBRE legal. May include SOX control responsibilities.

Provide estate planning and administration services: draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives; advise on wealth preservation, probate, taxation, elder law; oversee trust and estate administration and fiduciary accountings; stay current on estate planning law developments.

Manage compliance with U.S. export regulations, implement due diligence programs, conduct audits, and develop training for employees on export laws.

Lead and maintain the U.S. export compliance program: classify products under ITAR/EAR, manage licenses and TAAs/MLAs, perform end-user and sanctions screening, oversee deemed export controls and TCPs, deliver training, maintain audit-ready records, and provide cross-functional compliance advisory support.

Handle appellate litigation matters within a civil litigation practice. Collaborate with firm attorneys, receive mentoring and training, maintain strong references and stability, and be a California bar member in good standing. Participate in firm culture and pursue career development and advancement opportunities.

Summer interns work full-time for 10 weeks under a post-conviction attorney, performing record collection, investigative review, legal research, writing, transcript and evidence analysis, and drafting memoranda. CAP provides an intensive training week and assigns projects related to California death penalty cases. Remote access internships may be available.
